me too... i'm always getting 115 max. Either Las Pinas or Tarlac, same lang ang speed na nakukuha ko using N70 as modem.

And something weird happened last night. While connected (for about 10 minutes na) bigla na-cut connection and error message saying INSUFFICIENT BALANCE. Please Reload. Ginawa akong Pre-paid.

Tawag ako *888, wala naman daw problema and try ko na lang daw ulit next day. Ang Galing ng customer service.

huh? that's fast. Never did i get that kind of response. Been using my cp as a modem for almost a year na, laging 115kbps mostly in manila (alabang/las pinas area).

oopss sorry about that..hindi pala 486kbps. tried connecting again kanina 480.6 kbps pala..hmmnn still close to that though..hehehe

im here in baguio city and using a p990i. sa palagay ko front lang yun e. 480.6kbps pero walang pinagkaiba ang browsing sa 56kbps dial up. and downloading is a shame. downloaded a 384kb e-book for mobipocket reader and it took me 25minutes to download it.

kaya i doubt kung 480.6 nga yun..

That is the connection speed of your PC with your phone. Not the internet speed.

I'm supposed to be connected at 3G, but my speed is just like dial-up.

diba 10 pesos per 30 mins ang charge ng smart sa 3G internet connection nila? paano yun kapag wala pang 30 mins, naputulan ka tapos connect ka uli, panibagong 10 pesos na naman? tapos kung naputulan uli, then re-connect, another 10 pesos na naman? di ba parang lugi na to?

I think the 115kbps that they get is not the actual connection speed also.

batang_raon14, ano po settings ng P990 n'yo to properly connect it via 3G?

Also, for those who are using Nokia 3G phone, sa settings ng builtin web browser n'yo under default access point are you using Smart GPRS or Smart Internet?

after all the process has been completed, connect your unit to your computer via cable or BT. although the connection in cable is more faster than BT, so i would suggest that you use this.

install the Sony Ericsson PC suite in your PC, and choose Internet. it will automatically connect your PC to the internet using your mobile phone via 3G, if there is a 3G signal.

    hth.
