dual core na.
i've heard na yung bagong MS Vinta requires a dual core processor to run optimally.
para mahaba haba na rin buhay ng investment mo.

You have to determine kung ano primary use mo sa PC. Kung single threaded better yung mas mabilis na clocked proc. But in general windows performs better kung dual proc.
Personally, id get the dual core then overclock it :-)
kahit san mo tignan.. dual core![]()
and of course, sa pinagpipilian mo, double ang memory(adds speed) and bigger harddisk space pag dual-core ka...so no-brainer to go for the dual-core kung kaya ng budget mo.
so inshort dual core is different fron dual processor..diba may board na dual processor?
if you are not into graphics intensive aps (like games or vid editing) then a single core will already work for you. just make sure you have sufficient memory (512MB or 1GB) and a decent vid card.
awww... two core mold into one! sick! anyway.. nung bumili kami laptop.. kita ko brochure nung apple G5 ung desktop nila.. quadcore 2.0.. tama ba? tapos can support up to 16gb off memory.. awts! sarap ng ganun!1![]()
pardon ulit,ha... so, whats the diff between having a core duo vs dual processors?aside sa 1 vs 2,ha....avantage/disadvantage lang..
pwede bang gamitan ang xp ng dual processor?
You'd be surprised to know that Core2 Duo actually consumes 30% less power (therefore longer batt life) at about 10x (or more) the speed compared to single core![]()
main difference? price. as one article put it:
unless siguro nag-se-setup ka ng server, you're better off sa dual-core. read up na lang to have the full technical details....the move to dual-core is definitely a win for consumers. Since they are more affordable than dual processor computers, but offer the same or better performance, they are becoming the standard for modern computer systems.

physically, iba ung dual core sa "traditional" dual/multi processor systems. but in essense the same: you get two processors to do your bidding. mas mabilis pa nga since physically the connections between processors/memory are shorter.
try running task manager sa windows;if you have a dual core cpu you'll get two separate CPU utilization charts. cool.
but current games are not designed to exploit the power of these dual core procs. not yet, but maybe in the years to come, it will. AFAIK, if your into multitasking, then these procs are for you.. if not, you're fine with single procs, but then if you're buying a new PC, better get these dual procs for future hardware and software compatibilities.
will it improve my computer processing if I use dual core, I surf multiple windows, load and edit with photoshop and word, download from *******s, and watch quicktime video or play itunes music all at the same time. and mostly wireless na ako sa bahay
