Who here played (or still plays) these games? What games do you have? We need to meet online and fire some Gauss rifle slugs

Trip lang: post your fave mech, in what config, what game, etc...nakalimutan ko na yung config ng akin (marami sila) pero yung one I use most often is sa MW4 Daishi (unlimited ammo/no heat games):

Minsan pag gusto ko manggulo, Puma with LBX20 and pulse lasers

i dont play unlimited ammo and no heat games. more like cheating in a simulation game. dealing with ammo and heat should be part of the player strategy.

The no heat and unlimited ammo in multiplayer can be fun though! I play normal mode when playing single player of course. But just for the added weaponry, armor, and equipment, it can be fun (quick kills too).

for MW3 & Mercenaries:

my standard mech setup

Timber Wolf
6 to 8 ER M-Lasers (or clan equivalent)
2 ER LRM10 (or clan equivalent)
2 to 4 jumpjets
lots of heatsinks

main battle tactic:
long range - soften target with LRMs
medium range - hit & run using lasers in series mode (legs if possible)
short range - concentrated laser fire on legs while jetting sideways

How about the Mechwarrior: Dark Age click games? Any players here? I used to play and retired last 2003... My favorite faction was the the "Dragon's Fury"...

I used to play Mercenaries.

Favorite build? Atlas... 16 machineguns (whichever the game allows... I think the limit for total number of weapons is 16...), biggest engine, jumpjets.

Basically... hide behind buildings and rocks... then come, out, rush at the enemy, and tear him to shreds at 50ms, all guns blaring. This many machineguns will tear an 80 ton mech to bits in ten seconds... No heat buildup either... of course, against small mechs, this set-up sucks horribly.

cute mech setup... but only useful in ambushing a few mechs and subject to ammo limits.

haven't tried this setup and technique. kahit saan pala pwede abangers tactic. sarap siguro mangasar pagkatapos ng game.

Yup... not good if you're fighting more than two or three other mechs, because 16 machineguns use up ammo very quickly. But it's fun for a few laughs... and it's so effective, later editions of MW put a weapons limit in... poop.

Hehe... abangers? Used to be the perfect abanger in CounterStrike... mainly because I hid in places no one else did. Sometimes I'd rush as close as possible to the enemy base at the start of the round just to get the perfect ambush spot.

hahahaha! naalala ko dati nakakakaba yung boses nung babae pag sinabi nya nag ooverheat na yung mech mo.... Sarap talaga maglaro nito na malakas ang sounds... talagang pure adrenalin rush ang ibibigay sayo!

Too bad Activision became too selfish & greedy with revenues they decided not to renew the Mechwarrior franchise back then... I believe Microsoft's takeover of the franchise was a dismal failure.....

One of the craziest setups I've used for MW4 is a Daishi with 2 Ultra AC 20's, 2 Ultra AC 10's, and 4 ER LL's. Red kagad yung center torso kung alpha strike. Banggain mo na lang

Anybody here play CTF (capture the flag)? I used to play MW4 online with CTF games. Bantay ako usually, pero once in a while I tried running for the flag pero daming Nova Cat na naka abang. The best ang Big City for this, tapos full yung both teams ng long range attackers, runners, at mga bantay. Agawan-base nga eh!!

Also, marami ba sa inyo gumagamit ng DFA? Sa MW2 I used to do that a lot pag nag one-on-one game kami ng friend ko. Gamit niya Atlas with 2 Arrow IV. Ako Kodiak I forgot the config na pero parati ako nag jumpjet. Nasabugan ako once ng Arrow IV pero area effect kaya namatay din siya sa sarili niyang Arror IV haha

One time my friend and I played online using MW4 Mercs with the MekTek Mech Pack. We both used the Urbanmech (forgot kung Clan or IS) tapos one Heavy Gauss Rifle.

1. No radar
2. Pea soup fog
3. Night time
4. No 3rd person view/external camera
5. Magkatabi lang yung computer pero we didn't look
6. Coliseum map - no escape!

Another time we just used the Flea! Sobrang kulet. Ang hirap dahil ang bilis nung mech tapos maliliit lang na weapons pwede mo ilagay.

MW3 is the most realistic to me, kaya mahirap laruin. Sayang dahil limited lang yung pwede mo ilagay, maski Pirate's Moon kaunti lang dagdag (Masakari, among others). Yun nga lang pwede mo rin barilin yung mga pedestrians...

MW2 with Elemental usage was the best. Lalo na yung may cheat na pwede ka maglagay ng mga Gauss rifle sa Elemental tapos max speed yata 85.6kph or something. There was also a trick to kill an Atlas using an Elemental na stock! Anybody else know this?

Anybody here who still plays the games until now? Kung meron, we could establish a local group (or kung meron na, pasali naman) online. I think I lost my MW4 CDs pero I can buy used ones (or ask my friend who probably has it).

my setup sa mech3 is annihilator or daishi.

low engine rating
clan ferro fibrous armor (max load)
masc
6 clan large pulse lasers
clan targeting computer
1 AMS
then the rest of the criticals eh clan double heat sinks

although once in a while, i'll use an orion with almost the same config but minus 2 pulse lasers.

for kicks, i run the no heat and unlimited ammo, then load up on the LB-20X autocannons. hehehe. almost one shot kill, yun lang, close range dapat.

i always aim for the legs.

grabe super keso yung arrow IV sa mechwarrior 2 mercenaries. hehehe. may version ng mercenaries na bug ng elemental, you can load up even arrow IVs on it and slap on virtually unlimited armor and give it the highest-rated engine. aliw na aliw ako dun sa bug na yun.

pirate's moon for me was harder than the original mech3...but still fun. i miss that game...makahanap nga. :D

i don't have MW4 yet eh. nung lumabas kasi yan, olats pa system ko so i never thought of buying it. really bad mistake on my part. :lol:

i have the MW3 CD but something happened, may nalagay ata sa kanya, it now is equivalent to swiss cheese (clear spots sa silver layer). yikes.

i don't recall if pwede elemental sa pirate's moon. sa mech2 mercenaries lang ata siya playable.

I better grab myself a copy of the MW4 games. Meron dati dito I think $20 lang compilation siya (orig). Hmmm...
