Shopee. When you subscribe to spay later, it would ask for a camera selfie shot. You would align your face to the sketch guide before you press button.

Here's The Biggest Loophole Of The SIM Card Registration Law IRR

sms scammers are computer-savvy, that's basically a requirement LOL. so it would be trivial for them to fake a low-security ID like senior citizen's

if it's too easy to circumvent then it's useless

Individual registrants will be required to submit their full name, date or birth, ***, present or official address, type of identification card, and identification card number presented.
afaik the law doesn't authorize telcos from taking your picture

By that logic, since everyone is jaywalking anyway, does it mean we should just abolish pedestrian crossings? It's far too easy to shoot holes at laws but all the negatives aside, I have faith that the merits of this law can still produce a net positive.

That's at least adding a few extra steps just to use burner SIMs.

I heard it on the radio news when NTC was interviewed that a selfie would be required by the telcos, otherwise anyone could be a possible victim of indentity theft just by submitting a fake IDs. How the telcos could validate the registration just by a picture of an ID online.

Account/identify verification/KYC thru online means would basically require a clear copy of the ID with picture (some require with signature) plus a selfie of the individual holding the ID.

I think the selfie of the applicant holding the ID is a must. Ang dami sa Google ng ID ng mga tao. Mag Google ka lang ng drivers license ang dami mo na mo makikita mga tao na nag upload ng kanilang drivers license sa internet. [emoji1751]

Dapat maximum of 5 sim lang for individuals, more than that kailagan na ng extra verification or dapat ma justify kung Bakit madami SIM kailagan ng isang tao.

Dapat siguro in person na pag activate sa telco branch pag marami. Pero since parents ang mag register ng mga sims ng mga minor nilang anak, baka marami lalagpas sa 5 sims.

Ok lang sumobra sa 5 pag parents registering for their minor children but they need to show birth certificate to prove na anak nga nila mga yun.

Pero for ordinary person to have more 5 SIMs eh dapat bawal na

Yari neto kung yung mga number na ginamit sa gcash at maya eh nakalimutan or hindi na register. After few months deactivated ang account together with their money. [emoji23]

    Pahirapan siguro mabalik yun.
