boybi,

Dati P4000 or 7000 ang unit plus your monthly. Yung monthly is about P700-900 depede sa package.

I was evaluating this a year ago as I would want a digital feed for my 'high def LCD TV setup'. Our local cable is still analog.
I was planning to buy the dish and the receiver/decoder in the US (or through the internet.) If I remember correctly the cost is around P10K+ for a small dish. I plan to start with a cheap setup just to be sure that it 'works'
However, I lost interest because there are only a few 'free-to-air' broadcasts based on my research in the internet and based on my discussions with a couple of Filipino engineers in the US who are also into this thing. They also told me that sometimes, they can't receive anything because they are still waiting for the hack codes on the receiver.
Our dream satellite transmission is also being hacked in China. However, a lot of those who are dependent on this would be down for weeks because the hack is not yet available as dream is changing their passcodes quite often. I also got this info from the internet.

Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
