    Afaik surt series with double conversion starts at 3kva(cost around 60+k some 6yrs ago), below that are line interactive only and stepped sinusoidal(this is undesirable for electric motor operated load)..

    Check smart series 2kva i think its readily available at villman, specific ups vendors would give you about that same price.

    Rm=rack mount? Seriously are you going to put the equipment in fixed position besides the bed? You will probably need a 19 incher open ETSI rack.. Goodluck with that, i guess theres some cabinet enclosure with casters.

    I still recommend APC for home use, service center is just at QC.

    I'm using Cyberpower in my computers for our POS and other stuff. Seems all right so far.
