+1 here. nearly same electric consumption lang yan ng digibox, cignal tv etc.. ala naman yan mechanical moving parts kundi micro chips. kung tutuusin mas malakas pa ang electric consumption ng DVD player eh.

Mga sir i have a question. Pag ba gusto mo manuod ng ibang channel eh papatayin mo muna ang black box??? Or kahit naka on ang black box eh masasagap nya ang channel 7?

Ilang channels ba nasasagap nyo? For reference lang. Sa amin Makati are

Di mo papatayin black box. Dapat naka-ON. Kasama ch7 sa nasasagap nya. Malinaw din. Kahit yung ch5, kaya.

Once you have scanned the channels broadcasting in digital it will all be included in the channel list

Since digital broadcast is pretty new in the country you have to scan from time to time to get the new channel broadcasting in digital

The scan function is conveniently located in the top left hand of the remote

Question lang mga sir, para saan yung USB port sa mahiwagang black box? Sinubukan ko isaksak yung usb ko na may photos at videos, parang hindi naman na recognize yung usb (or kailangan pumunta pa muna ng menu?). Wala kasi nakalagay sa paper documents na kasama sa box tungkol dun sa USB port.

Got mine last year for 700 bucks with free 600 pesos load (ABS sim) from ABS office. Dapat pala dinamihan ko ang kuha.

Ahh I see. Sayang sana ginawa na rin nila na pwede ka magplay ng videos/music/photo album parang katulad dun sa mga modern TVs.

Hirap kasi dad ko sa controls ng TV set sa kwarto niya eh mahilig siya manood ng family videos at movies sa tv. Sa next software update sana isabay nila haha though parang malabo.

been trying to get ch5 but di talaga... not sure if its antenna based or what.. nung minsan naghahanap / nagtatanong ako ng baron antenna sa ace hardware.. may nakasabay ako na nabanggit na pinatanggal daw ni MVP sa TV+ yung TV5...

not sure if there's a ring of truth to that or what...

Digital broadcasts are all in test mode..some stations are still in a limited coverage mode thats why some area doesnt receive it

Tsikot peeps, may nakaexperience na ba sa inyo na laging walang signal?? Yung sa blackbox kasi namin lately, lagi siya yung putol putol na broacast to the point na mas maganda pa gamitin yung regular antenna ng tv. Putol putol as in distorted sounds tapos yung screen nafefreeze minsan. Ngayon lang lumabas yung mga problem na ito. Tapos kapag nagscan naman ulit, wala na blackscreen na lang lalabas. Dahil ba sa "test broadcast" or may sira yung unit namin?? We couldn't find the receipt na eh so baka hindi mahonor warranty, so thinking na baka pwede ko naman ma DIY sa bahay.

Anyone here have tried buying a high end smart tv tecently? I heard me mga bagong tv models daw ay digital tv receivers na rin. It would seem this would be the right direction else we would need to package a tv plus for your smart tv. Sana it can receive signals as good as tv plus does.

may upgrade na pumasok sa TV+ ko recently.. now i've got about 5 - 6 channels na TV5..

I think.. this is the direction of free tv... I'm not sure of the technicals... but I think digital TV can offer more channels than analog can (UHF, VHF, etc).. ngayon pa lang ang dami na... and with more channels.. this may mean more avenues for advertising spending... will this bring down the cost of advertising in Free TV (analog) channels? abangan... pero definitely mas lalong mahahati ang market...
