Ang alam ko, hindi applicable ang power factor correction sa residential consumers kasi wala namang power factor adjustment sa billing nila.

Moreover, Meralco lang ang may power factor adjustment, so even non-residential but non-meralco-supplied consumers ay di magbe-benefit dito.

Kung bibili at magi-install kayo nito, I would suggest na ang bayad is based on savings. Kung ano lang ang savings for the month, yun lang ang ibayad until fully paid. kung wala savings, wala bayad. Dapat pumayag supplier sa ganitong payment scheme kung talagang confident sya sa product nya.

Di ba pag hindi mo ginamit yung alloted consumption mo eh tataas pa din ang electric bill mo dahil dyan sa lintek na PPA na yan?

Anyway, better if you can ask for a demo. Titingnan mo lang naman ang metro mo kung bumagal eh di ba?

I just talked to the seller of this sa ads tv tel 721-000. Ang pagkasabi sakin pwede daw ibalik kung d daw talaga makaka save after 2-3 months of used. Bale sabi sakin mga 15-30 percent daw ang savings sa electric bill. This was design mostly daw kung gumagamit ng motor ang device like aircon. Tatlo pa naman ang aircon namin. pero malamig pa ngaun kaya d pa matetest kaya sa summer nalang ako bibili. I hope worth it eto.

true sinabi ng ad, it will lower the energy usage of electric motors but not electronic appliances like tv, computers, etc. it will work with electric fans, air conditioners, refrigerators, water pumps, basta may electric motor. power of electric motor = amps X voltage X power factor. since the power factor is normally 80% then there is a built in loss of 20%*** in the power that meralco supplies to all of us. theoretically the maximum power savings will be the amount of power factor correction and limitted only by the efficiency of the motor. so if it corrects the power factor from 80% to say 90% then that will be savings = 10% X motor efficiency in terms of power consumption (of electric motors only). if it corrects the power factor by 20% then it's savings = 20% X motor efficiency.

***this 20% built in loss in supplied electric power is due to the fact that the power generation is 3-phase, the power wave lags the voltage waves by 30 degrees resulting in a power factor of 0.80 or 80%.

so adviseable yan if you have airconditioners, electric fans and water pumps. pag lights, tv, computer and other electronics lang nasa bahay mo, then it's useless.

di lang ako agree dun sa claim na 30 percent savings kasi how can that possibly be bigger than the correction in power factor (1.00 - 0.80 = 0.20 or 20% maximum)?

Sana nga this product could help. If it could, wouldn't it be listing as it's clients top industrial/manufacturing companies? Imagine if you could get even 10% savings on 1m+ power bills...

the device works on motors like fans and refs... but if you have electronic device like computers, TVs, etc. it doesnt work.

KOREK!!! Purely resistive load will not benifit from this device.

meron ibang option....install a ground or make a 110 volt line and convert all your equipment to 110 volt ... this one would definitely make an improvement in the bill...meron pang isa sa lights....use the small wattage but efficient illumination type (I saw a friend using 3watts bulbs with a 25watt equivalent light).

i think the saving that you will gain is that the appliances will be more efficient. example if you use to put your aircon thermostat to full now you can put it to 6 or 7. this will save you electricity. these thing have capacitors in it that stores power and releases it when needed.

Hmm eye opener ang post ni Yebo... Samin kasi to be honest, A/C and ref lang ang umaandar for the most part, wala kasing tao sa house most of the day...

With regards dun sa 110V conversion, ang alam ko walang kinalaman ang voltage sa consumption ng kuryente coz it's based on wattage.
