wiki says Intel Cores has lesser power consumption.

I leave my pc Pentium4 Prescott oc* 3.52Ghz 24/7 for more than 2 years.

so how much do I consume each year?

energy saver is not so perfect though, I had my monitor toasted because of relying to energy saver. and I notice there is still small heat felt even the monitor is in sleep mode. so better switch it off manualy.

di ba most common na power supply eh 300 watts na? nacoconsume ba lahat yun? parang malakas din sa kuryente ang pc. kasi dati nasira pc ko almost 2 months di me nakagamit we got less than 300 sa power bill namin. (ave. 4 hrs daily useage)

    Here's my rig:

    AMD Athlon 64 3200
    1GB RAM
    NVidia GeForce 6800GS
    3 Harddisks (1 SATA, 2 IDE)
    2 DVD Writers
    1 PCTV Tuner card

On the status screen of my APC UPS, it shows that I'm using around 175W of power. This includes the following peripherals that are also plugged into the UPS:

    1 laptop
    13W table lamp
    LinkSys WRT54G wireless router
    DSL modem
    Altec Lansing 4.1 speaker
    Cordless phone

Well, pag sinabi po na 300Watts Power Supply, it doesn't mean it consumes 300Watts everytime it's plugged in. 300Watts po ang capacity nito, you can connect devices here upto 300Watts load.

Pag nagkabit kayo ng appliances more than the PS's maximum capacity.... malamang puputok yan.

Depende sa power factor ng ikakabit mo. Para safe, up to 500 Watts na load lang.

Power consumed is the sum of the power used by the UPS it self Plus the power of the load.
