I think that is just the generation charge, you still have to consider the transmission charge, generatioin charge, system loss, subsidies, etc. It actually doubles your billing. I checked my Sept billing, if you divide the total charge by the no of KWH, it comes to 10.7 per kilowatthour.

Suggest you turn on your energy star settings. Puwede ring i-off ang monitor kapag di naman ginagamit. Kung meron kang mga external peripherals - printer, external hard drives, additional power din yon.

Ang gamit ko ngayon ay Mac computer, mga 90-120 watts lang for the whole computer. I don't turn it off anymore pero I set the energy saver settings para mag-off ang monitor after 15 minutes na idle.

para sa aking kung home use lang naman at hindi ka naman nakaOL sa tsikot, better to shutdown your pc to save energy... crt consumes more power than lcd's... better change your monitor to save energy na din. in my estimate para ka lang may extra 21" na tv na nakabukas if your using your pc... so minimal pa din ang babayaran o gastos.

I think heavy CPU usage will increase your power consumption. especially when your converting HD movies.

im thinking about changing my crt to lcd. kaya lang 7,000+ ang pinakamura. presyo palang ay, pang tatlong buwan na monthly bills na. =)
average kasi namin P2000. kelangan pa magtipid-tipid.

worth kaya ang lcd? parang inadvance ko ang gastos ko though makakatipid ako in the long run. hmmm....
