    Mine was 30mbps / 1,899 before (VDSL)

Nag early termination ako due to recurring downtimes.

Sa 1 year nung account ko meron monthly downtime lasting 3-4 days. No permanent fix can be done since awaiting for migration to full fiber yung area namin.

What can they do is repair pag nasira yung line ko aside doon talagang waiting game muna talaga.

Kudos to PLDT madali naman mag report ng concern kaso ayun nga paulit ulit yung issues and now heavily dependent kami sa internet due to WFH setup / Netflix [emoji23]

Inggit ako sa inlaws ko they got the same plan, the difference is full fiber naman yung sa kanila. Grabe speedboost doon and never pa ata sila nagkaron ng downtime.

Just glad PLDT approved my request for not paying the pre-termination fee. If mag available yung full fiber sa area namin will consider going back with them.

Thank you to bro EQ lagi ko siya naiistorbo. [emoji16]

The optical fiber was broken by construction workers yesterday, fortunately PLDT came to repair on the same day.
The received power shown on the interface of the modem was usually around -23dBm, but after repair it dropped to -26.57dBm.

Dose someone knows what level of received power is considered High, Low and Normal?

    From Huawei forums:
Hello friend! ONT's Optical Power Range:

For the ONTs using GPON upstream transmission: -27 dBm to -8 dBm (Class B+); -30 dBm to -8dBm
    (Class C+).
For the ONTs using XG-PON upstream transmission: -28dBm to –8dBm (Class N1a); -28dBm to -
    8dBm (Class N2a).

    Thanks!

My received power level is very close to the lower limit.

Do you have any information about the influence of the received power level on the user's side? I cannot find such information on the internet.

Did anyone here using the PLDT fiber use a wifi repeater or extender? If yes, what specific repeater or extender did you buy? Is it plug and play? Is it wired or wireless?

I use Xiaomi extender. I think nasa ₱600 lang nung binili namin. Madali lang setup using mi home app, basically setup mo lang kung saan wifi sya ko-connect. Bilib din ako sa extender, abot sya hanggang labas ng bahay tagos 3 cement wall.

With the new Fibr plans out, they've started realigning the bandwidth of current subscribers.

On plan 2899, I was getting 200 down and 400 up yesterday. I checked a few minutes ago and my speed is now 500mbps both ways.

Plan 1499. On paper, it's 25 Mbps with free speed boost of up to 75 Mbps until June 30, 2021.

Apparently, somebody forgot to turn the cap back on because I'm getting 300 Mbps down and 200 Mbps up. Or was there another extension to PLDT's free speed boosts that I don't know about?

This could probably go higher if our modem/router supported higher speeds...

May I ask which band? 2.4 Ghz or 5 Ghz?

I have streamtech. Mahirap yung umpisa since we had to call their CSR para mag email sa amin ng bills monthly. Although consistent naman yung amount monthly and I can pay without seeing the bill, gusto ko pa rin makita yung bill in case may magbago.

They have a new number now for connection problems although pag punta ng technician eh 3 to 5 days daw, unlike our globe lines na nagsasabi kung may darating na tech bukas, sa streamtech wala, so you need someone at the house for that 5 days.

Napansin ko mas mataas na speed nung current plan ko for new customers, yun nga lang for new customers. Unlike globe na malalaman mo na lang tumaas na speed mo nag a adjust sila.
