ryan,
An alternative to leonovo would be HP/Compaq business line of notebooks. Very good build quality and its easy to upgrade and repair. Feels as solid as my brothers IBM. I already upgraded the ram and combo drive to a dvd writer in mine.

As I suspected dalawa sir ang flavors ng A8fm sa Pinas... 1 with BT sold at 50,000 and the one with no BT sold at at least 45,000...
As a consumer, I can demand that dahil yan ay nasa spec sheet... though di ko alam ano magiging alibi nung nagbenta sa inyo...
ang isasagot ng seller is: shell out another 5K and you have your BT![]()
Just upgraded my laptop's harddisk to 160GB and successfully migrated from the old one! I used Acronis Disk Director Suite, ang galing nitong software na ito! :D
Sir Dekra,
If you dont mind how much and where did you get your hdd?
I don't know kung nakamura ako, bihira lang yung nagbebenta ng 160GB sa mga shops na pinuntahan ko sa V-Mall, Greenhills. I bought it for P7,600, Seagate Momentus 5400rpm at Infonet, V-Mall. Then, I bought a 2.5" enclosure for my old harddisk for P170 sa Abacus. Pansin ko, mura sa PC Gilmore, Infonet and Abacus. Sa Infonet lang talaga merong 160GB.
Next naman yung 1GB RAM...![]()
opo bihira nga lang kasi bago pa lang ang mga 160Gb HDD sa mga laptops... ang alam ko ang mga branded laptops they cap their HDD use to 120Gb at the moment probably because of heat & battery use... Anyway as I said, 120Gb Western Digitals go for 4,800 so you are actually paying a premium when buying 160Gb. Sweet spot sa mga hard disk laptops ngayon ay 80Gb while for desktops sweet spot and 160/200Gb Hard Drives.
im getting a laptop this week and looking into getting the asus a8jn till i saw the a8jr, is the increase in price worth the upgrades? tia
got these from mikmik316's email, thanks Kim![]()

Sir wala pang benchmarks ang Radeon X2300 so we really cant tell kung mabilis sya... pero based sa specs, parang parehas lang ng X1450 ang X2300 kasi 4 + 2 ang pipeline nya...
Guys, just curious, what's the best laptop video card that's readily available?
Seems like the ATI x1600 256mb seems popular but I its probably just a mid range card compared to its desktop counterpart![]()
its midrange of the series BUT its equivalent IMO to the desktop counterpart.
Wala pang available na gumagamit ng X1900 series though Asus recently released their gaming laptop here....
The best we have I guess is the X1600 now...
