ok ang dual core. my DELL (D610 lang ito) is ok for heavy programming and database operations. gaming is fair though kasi 64MB lang ang Video RAM ko. basta kung kaya i-stretch ang budget get the laptop which has the most memory, storage, graphics capabilities, etc. in the long run it will reap you benefits rather than disappointments.
additional, you might opt to buy a laptop that has an internal multi card reader ;)

yes, I agree. MAC is best for graphics. Get the new model with Duo. You wont regret it.

Personally, I rather buy a pc laptop like one of the HP laptops listed and later on decide to buy a Mac Mini (if it's worthwhile enough for the user). At least, the user can use both at the same time instead of alternating between two operating systems.

April 11th, 2006 03:18 PM #26mac is "good at heavy graphics", for me d ata, it depends, at hassle pa ung papalitpalit ng os, my cousin do have powerbook we try to compare the performance side by side with almost same specs ( mac laptop with a little bit higher specs ), result was almost the asme, mas mabilis lng ung mac ng 3-5 secs. ( we opened 3gig file nd resampling big images using photoshop). no offense sa mga naka mac, opinion ko lng ito.
pag ng purchase ba ako ng may winxp home edition, pde ko b install pro edition o later on ibang version na ng windows na mas bago?
another, overall hp o acer is better? nd ung video memory b d upgradable?

Kung WinXP home ang license mo ay hindi sya magiging legal kung WinXP pro or Vista ang iinstall mo. And I don't think that you can upgrade laptop video card.

Hmmmm. A thought just occured to me. Liz? Sounds familiar.....
Liz, is that you from the "other" forum(s)? If it is, then you should recognize my handle and I'd also have a clearer picture of what you plan to use the laptop for.
Also.... Kumusta! I've been hanging around here and brushing up on my Tagalog. Puwede na rin, eh?
