Hi liz. Forgive me for asking, but what are your needs? I mean, what do you intend to use it mostly for? This would help us in providin our recommendations.

Price not a factor, I prefer the Core Duo. I'd also bump up the ram to 1GB.

for heavy graphics...use faster processor, bigger ram memory (1G and up) and bigger video memory(512mb and up).

Liz, i noticed your selection is all HP Pavilion models...maganda ba talaga ang HP in terms of performance & durability? Pwede na bang pang games (like need for speed)yung integrated graphics pero 1GB ang RAM?
Im asking kasi im also gonna buy a new laptop, but cant decide between HP Pavilion and Acer Aspire 5672.Mas value for money kasi ang Acer (almost same features w/ HP but lesser price). But parang mas sturdier ang built ng HP.
Any Acer owners out there? How's the performance?

The HP laptops listed have discrete graphics and dedicated video ram. Half the problem is solved right there. Just make the ram 1GB and I'd be happy with any of the 3. Of course, I still prefer the Core Duo simply because it's dualcore.

Pavilion user here... those are hot mothers (and mean in the literal sense... they run very high temps!) and you ought to invest in a laptop cooler if you buy one.
The older Pavilions were prone to nasty errors because of this... there are three of us in the family with the first gen Pavilion, and they all failed within a year or two of purchase.
I was the lucky one, ours got replaced under warranty with a second gen model. Although it occassionally slows down due to heat, it doesn't crash catastrophically like the old one does.
These newer Pavilions with Compaq tech are much better than the old ones, but be careful how you use them.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
