Any feedback on this phone? Its Android OS...

Thinking of getting one, probably next year na... Ang mura nya kasi eh at P13K a very nice anc cheap alternative to iPhone 4 which costs what P40K or something like that...

I am new to these things kasi eh...

Yung Android OS ba upgradeable? Meaning right now if you buy an Optimus One you get Android 2.2, pag lumabas 2.3 can it be upgraded to that?

Kamusta naman apps ng Andoird? Plentiful din ba like iPhone OS?

im using one. sulit naman for the price.

as for the upgrades, depende sa lg kung mag uupgrade sila sa 2.3 pag lumabas. or kung may 3rd party support para maging 2.3 siya. as for the apps, madami. just check appbrain and other sites. madaming free app na pwede.

and the best thing. mura siya! haha

well... android being an open-source OS...

    should be upgradeable/swappable

coz an open-source OS would be pointless if it wasn't

Upgradeability actually depends on the processor used. For instance, the low-end tablet clones being sold at 168/Greenhills typically use the VIA 8505, which supports only up to Android 1.6.

In addition, if the Optimus uses a custom UI (not sure about this) like HTC's Sense, Motorola's Motoblur, Acer's Liquid etc., then there might be some delay in any OS upgrades, that is if it ever becomes available at all.

    Hope this helps.

*tidus, musta capacitive screen nya? responsive ba? is it comparable with the responsiveness of Iphone 4 and Ipad

i've tried the Samsung Galaxy S sa isang friend, bagal pa din ang capacitive screen eh.
dunno if the Android is culprit kasi marami nagsasabi okey naman daw ang Korean Super Amoled Screens

have one for a week now and playing with the gps apps gaya ng Ndrive at MyTracks ng google. buti na lang may 1 free map ka with Ndrive and installed the Phil map, hindi mo na kailangan bumili pa ng map. Gives directions/when to turn in 3km, 1km, 300 m and then on the turns. too bad hindi pa available ang google nav sa PH.

hindi ko pa ma-figure out pag-connect sa internet using the phone, hindi ko malaman kung signal ng globe or sa phone ang problem, mabagal. pag wifi ok naman.

best buy para sa akin itong optimus one, a very good entry level android phone

I don't have an iPhone 4 or iPad have only tested an IP4 from a friend. I do have an iPod touch 2nd gen and I say its comparable in terms of responsiveness... But if you have a fat finger I suggest turning the phone in landscape mode so the keyboards become bigger!

By the way how do you update the firmware, I can't seem to make LG PC Suite recognize my phone. Nakakabit naman yung USB? Meron bang sa phone na mismo mag update via Wi-Fi instead of connecting via PC?
