LED... Better energy consumption, contrast ratio and has less burned pixels in the long run

i heard that the reason why lcd tv's are on sale is because all those units on sale are not yet dvb-t capable. since all philippine tv stations will convert to dvb-t by 1 January 2016 (yes this conversion date to dvb-t is a certainty already, do not even doubt it that all analog tv transmissions will cease on 23:59:59 of 31 December 2015) they need to sell all their stocks before this fact gets known by the buying public. that is why lcd tv's suddenly had a price drop starting last year because all those are still only analog and not dvb-t capable. and even though the units on discount are "just arrived" those are actually over runs from other markets where they can't sell them anymore because the buyers already got smart to the dvb-t conversion. of course analog tv's will still remain usable with the use of a digi-box, and they say the digi-box will not cost much. but still why buy something that is "obsolete"?

So it's OK to buy TVs sourced from Singapore since these already come with dvb-t Tuners?

Don't waste your time and effort.

You are worrying about nothing. As long as you watch Cable TV, no changes are needed. The service providers will have to invest in digital equipment upgrade. You will receive your local channels like usual.

For me, I choose LCD because of its features talaga. Kahit sa commercial pa lang mapapansin na mas angat ang mga LCD. That's why.

32" Sony LCD Full HD (KDL32CX520)

    or

42" Toshiba Full HD LED backlit (42HL800A)

both are on sale..but the toshiba is $50 cheaper..
the only advantage of the sony is wifi ready + lan port + looks

Get the Toshiba...Size always matter in picking a television.
