while on the ups topic, what does the UPS with 600va mean? since it has multiple sockets, how many laptops/desktops can it power up?

600VA roughly is 300 watts.

Typically two laptops at most for 600VA UPS. Desktop PCs, just one or if you have those ultra low power PCs, you can get two.

Try Quiapo-Raon and Elfo-santa cruz they cost around 400-900 depending on brand just be wary about imitation panasonic brands. Some Motolite and Outlast stores carry also VRLA batteries. APC service center also sell this batteries.

UPS commonly uses 12V, capacity based from Amper-hour rating. BTW KVA is the apparent power which is converted to Watts(DC) by multiplying 0.6(common power factor).

Madali lang mag replace battery nyan.
Marami din sa lazada/shopee, make sure lang trusted seller at if possible, original Lenovo yung battery.

First thing's first, can't you request for a replacement laptop? If it's for work, your IT department is obligated to fix or replace it.

To be able to use it beyond what the built-in battery's runtime can offer and especially during a prolonged outage, use a portable power station or a small generator.

my ebike has a 60v battery pack. most laptop power bricks which normally take 110-220v can be plugged into 60v DC and still work

Eligible na din ako for laptop replacement.. Kaso ang hirap kasi mag set up nung mga applications and authentication (hassle).. Bukod dun ang bulky nung new laptops na niri-release nila [emoji28] (dami reason, maarte lang pala)..
Same reason kung bakit ayaw ko bumili extra battery, dahil soon magpalit na din ako ng laptop.. Hindi lang ngayon baka Q4 pa..
Kaya naghahanap ako ng alternative, kahit up to 6 hours pede na for emergency lang..

yung kapatid ko nung nagka bagyo sa bohol last December, ang tagal ng brownout sa kanila at inabot yata ng more than 2 months. bumili sila ng Greenfield power station 400W yata nung nag bakasyon sila dito then dinala pag uwi duon. ok naman daw, parang may malaki ka powerbank hehe pang electric fan, charge ng fones. then re-charge nila pag pasok sa office, may kuryente kasi sa office nila pero sa house area nila eh matagal nagka kuryente.

meron yung iba may kinakabit na solar panel for charging.

I have same problem with missX, I'm WFH and looking for solution for power outage so I can remain online. Pag napapa daan ako sa true value nakikita ko mga generator, around ₱50k. It seems an expensive solution to remain working, it's probably cheaper to file a leave. [emoji23]

When you say small inverter generator, do you mean gasoline fed, lighter, and cheaper than ₱50k?

I don't really need to power a lot of appliances during outage, just a laptop and maybe a smartphone I can tether Internet to.

I see.... I tried to enable it and it really stops at 80% charge. How about for mobile phones? I always charge it 100% there is no feature to limit the charging.

If it's just the bare essentials.... laptop, fan, lights, and to charge your phone/tablet, a small 800-1200W inverter generator is sufficient.
