My Samsung Plasma TV lasted a couple of months. Good thing Samsung replaces me with a Brand New LCD TV. Now thats what I called good service.
My Friend have a Sony Bravia 60" 1080p rear lcd projector. 4 months tops only. Sony will only fix it not replace.

well, i decided to order the Viera anyway. 32" LCD with 2 HDMI inputs, all resolution modes except for 1080p, and all the component inputs i would ever need.

was going to wait until 1080p set prices came down, but i had a chance to buy this one for USD 400 (list was 1,100) so hindi ko natiis. we now have more TV's in the house than people, so i have no idea what we're going to do now :hihihi:

Ang laking bagsak ng presyo ngayon ng mga 32" LCD TVs napansin ko. Daming nag o-offer, buy one take one. Kundi buy one at P 40,000 lang 0% interest for 6 months pa. Kung cash bayad mo, may additional discount.

Yun Samsung na recently binebenta na P 99,000, ngayon mga P 35,000++ na lang.

Bakit kaya? Or what's the catch?

Ngayon ko lang nabasa 'to... help naman for HT. Budget siguro mga ave. 15K w/o the player.

    Questions:
    1. Pag ba ang DVD player (ex.: Pioneer) may nakalagay na Dolby, DTS, etc. it means it can send process and send Dolby, DTS, etc. signals to my speakers right? If so, i'm only sending it to my right and left channel na naka connect sa L/R ng DVD?

    2. 1/3 palang nababasa ko dito, Dai-ichi din ba meron HT na bang for the buck na parang car audio? brand? model? price?

    1. The best solution to this is to use the digital out of your player so the receiver will process the digital signal. There's a distinction, but i forgot already since I'm always using the receiver's processor anyway thru the fiber optic connection. DTS Surround means it can process on its own (AFAIK). DTS Digital Out means it needs an external processor (receiver).

    2. For sure meron, go to SM-B Megamall 5F. Daichi is an OEM for bigger brands here and abroad.

If your budget is only 15k, add 4k and just get Logitech z5500 THX Digital. I use this for my computer: It's only 22k when i got it, should be around 19k by now.

pag naasar ako sa kapitbahay kong superbaduy na laging nagpapatugtog ng pinoy-hiphop, pinapayanig ko bahay nya literally *1am in the morning.... :D

Literally ha, as in gumagalaw ang mga dingding at roofing ng bahay nya. Pero di nya yun alam, nagpapatugtog ako ng ultra-low frequency sound kaya hindi maingay. hehhehehehe.

I still get a crack out of it once in a while. Ganun kalakas ang speakers na yan.

    1. depends if the dvd has a built decoder just wire the corresponding output to the 5.1 speaker kung wala you will need a receiver to decode the audio output then wire to your 5.1 speakers

    2. used to have a DTX9.5 line from daichi and they are really bang for the buck i bought them 3.8k for the floorstanders, 2.2k for the rear 1.7k for the center ang 6.5k for the subwoofer

check out raon baka meron pang ilan na natitira

check out dai ichi's website http://www.daiichielectronics.com.ph/ht_spkrs.htm

Ok. done reading the whole thread. It seems at some point (page 35-40 ata) it says DTX is no longer available. Pano na? Btw for movies. For audio im happy and satisfied w/ my very old Altec Lansing multimedia speakers.
