Here in HK, a samsung 42" plasma tv with tuner is being sold for just 19.8K HKD ~ 138,600 php. Yung Hitachi 42" is 196,000 php with free DVD recorder pa. Yung 43" Pioneer naman almost same price with Hitachi. Pababa na presyo ng mga Plasma dito sa HK. Yung 50" na Pioneer naman nasa 300K+ php. Sobrang mahal dyan sa atin.

thanks sir kimps and ICB for the replies, sige dalhin ko sa Spectra para masubukan, doon po ako humihiram ng laser disc dati...may point ka sir kimps doon sa gagastusin na pera sa plasma...medyo marami na rin akong mabibiling iba sa perang iyon...inaalala ko kasi sa plasma eh magtatagal kaya siya ng more than 20 years? karamihan ng nakikita ko ditong plasma eh samsung kaso di maganda experience ng relative ko sa samsung na CRT di tulad ng Sony na pangmatagalan talaga...

tsikoteers, meron na ba sa inyong may bad experiences sa plasma tv?

plasma is in a different ball game than the crt tv's. talagang one of the best, if not the best, ang sony crt tv. pero since plasma is a new technology, hindi pa talaga natin alam kung which brand is the better brand.

yup tama the best pa rin ang CRT TV, boybi isama mo na rin ang Toshiba medyo dull compare sa Sony pero in the long run soothing sa mga mata...di ba Cardo...

pansin ko rin, masmaganda yun CRT ng SONY. We got a 30" Sony Wega, and compared sa Toshiba mas ok sya. But in fairness, freebie lang kase sa min yun Toshiba CRT sa HD RPTV ko...

Next year na daw ako bili sabi ni misis huhuhu! Go to plan B ako hehe. My plan is to bring back my Denon AVR and CD Player dito sa HKG and then buy one pair of speakers muna, yung B&W DM 603 S3. Mukhang payag na tapos pag ipunan ko na lang ang upgrade ng AVR ko tsaka rears and sub na Sunfire super junior.

Tanong lang, ok lang ba kung ang AVR ko is 85w lang tapos yung speaker is 150w?
