kita ko na problem why hindi ko ma-access yung mga shared folders sa network, it is because of the IP addresses assigned to my PCs which were assigned by PLDT and not the router. naka-disable kasi yung DHCP sa router. i can't connect to the internet if i enable DHCP.
if i disable the firewall, or i include the IP in the trusted zone, i will be able to access shared forlders. but if i include the PLDT IP in the trusted zone, won't this also open my network to other PLDT DSL users?
sa tingin ko sir ask PLDT bakit ganun yung router nila??? Kasi theoretically you get 1 IP from PLDT then all your computers will access that 1 IP from PLDT... and to segregate your WAN connection (Internet) from your LAN connection (Intranet) then there should be two sets of IP.... One IP from PLDT that may be DHCP/dynamically assigned or Static IP... your Intranet in turn can also have DHCP or Static IP... mejo pangit yata yung PLDT provided router???? or baka iba lang ang naming conventions ng set-up???
SEr, ano model nung router na galing sa PLDT? Modem router ata yan eh. Kung ako sa'yo, tawag ka sa PLDT tanong mo kung pede bypass yung modem-router nila. Useless yung router nyo ser kapag PLDT parin IP address na nakukuha nyo. ano ym mo? pm mo sakin :D maybe I can help :D
sir boybi, ask ko lang. naka-enable ba yung DMZ nang wireless router mo? i think pwede pa rin gamitin yung linksys mo unless you want it to be in 'switch' mode.
anyways, who among here uses SmartBro and Linksys WRT54G wireless setup? is it that hard to set up? kasi parang na-trauma ako nung nag-setup ako nang Linksys WRT54G sa globelines. unlike when i installed my Netgear wireless router. wala pang 5 minutes, ok na. i'm thinking of getting a WiFi G router to complement my WiFi B router.
