Help: iPod Video for Dummies

Dummies like me

I have some questions regarding the usage of an iPod Video. Huwag niyo naman po sana ako pagtawanan kung medyo sobrang olats ng mga itatanong ko. Kailangan ko lang po ng kaunting tulong.

1. If I have some movies on DVD, how can I put them into the iPod Video? May recommended software ba?

2. When loading songs into the iPod via iTunes, is it possible na paisa-isang kanta lang ang i-load? For example I go to my friend's house and may nagustuhan akong song from his/her computer?

3. Saan pa ba ok mag-DL ng movies? I usually DL songs from Limewire. I have no idea where to get movies.

4. AFAIK, pwede ka din palagay ng songs and movies sa Greenhills and other similar places. How much is the going rate? May nag-aalok kanina Php50.00/movie. Hayop! hahahaha.

1. sa dvd ang ginagamit ko software e dvd to mp4 converter, nakalimutan ko na name eh. parang ImToo. kelagan nyo po muna iconvert yung dvd na file into mp4 format para malipat sa Ipod.

2. by default, hindi pwede un. pero lately nakapagtransfer ako ng songs galing sa ibang computer. siguro, kelangan mo lang i-set sa manually manage my songs para pwede ka maglagay kahit galing sa ibang computers. pero meron konti risk, hindi ko rin maintindihan kung bakit naerase yung mga videos ko or should i say nawala sa list pero nasa Ipod pa rin pero hindi na napplay. siguro hindi same ang version ng iTunes na ginamit ko dito sa manila and sa province. in short, just set your Ipod to manually manage your songs, tapos make sure that you are using the same version of iTunes.

3. very simple, pwede ka magdl ng movies na ipod format na sa www.ipodnova.tv unlike sa btjunkie.org, btmon.com kelangan mo pa i-convert yung avi file. pero mas prefer ko yung naka avi format tapos i-coconvert sa mp4. btw, i use apollo ipod converter to convert avi to mp4.

4. kung naka dsl ka doc, sulitin mo na lang un. . pero hindi ko alam ang rate sa transfer ng movies and songs sa labas eh.

2. yep, mas safe pag ganun. basta kung saan yung original library nya dun ka na lang maglagay. pero yung sakin, nakakapaglagay ako ng songs kahit sa ibang library. pero natry ko pa lang dito sa computer sa manila. sa province kasi library nun eh. videos hindi ko pa natry. .

3. magdownload ka na dun sa mga ******* sites na binigay ko sayo, mas maganda pag avi format tapos saka mo convert sa mp4. dun kasi sa ipodnova, napansin ko lang maganda nga quality pero yung sounds basag. nga pala, dun sa ipodnova ang kukunin mo e yung R5 or dvdrip, pag cam pangit. meron naman screenshots eh.

kelangan mo ng bit******* client like ********, u*******, *******. . i use ********. pag naka install na, saka ka pupunta sa sites na binigay ko sayo like ipodnova.tv, btjunkie.org, btmon.com. . click mo lang yung download, the pag meron nagpop up na window then click mo ok magsstart na magdownload un dun sa bit******* client mo. search engine lang yung mga sites, bit******* client yung pangdownload.

Tapos dun ako sa mga ipodnova magsearch ng titles na gusto ko? hehehe.

not really, sa limewire kasi stand alone program na sya. pwede ka magsearch then download agad. sa ********, pang download lang talga sya ng mga ******* files/links na makukuha mo sa ******* sites. for example: punta ka sa btjunkie.org meron ka nagustuhan na file dun, pag click mo ng download, file lang un na wala pang 1mb .******* extension nya, pwede mo isave or pwede mo i-open na agad.(usual saving files in windows) once na click mo open saka pa lang maglalaunch yung ******** program para magsimula na magdownload. then un na, hintayin mo na lang matapos. . hehe.

I normally use DVD Shrink to remove the dvd copy protection and have it copy the audio_ts and video_ts to the hard drive. I then rename the main vob file to an mpg like xxx.vob to xxx.mpg.

Then, I use Ulead Video Studio 10+ to convert the file to either hi-res wmv (for hard drive use only) or low-res mp4 for either an iPod or PSP.


I recently converted all 26 episodes of my MXC Seasons 1 and 2 to wmv. It took a while.

Hinde eh. Kase one iTunes sync lang per iPod. So, kung ano yung nasa iPod mo eh yun ang laman ng iTunes dun sa computer where you configured your playlists, etc., dyan sa iPod mo. So, pag kinonek mo yan sa ibang computer na may iTunes, hinde nya babasahin laman nyan. In fact, io-offer pa sa yo nung iTunes na i-sync yang iPod mo dun sa PC na yun pero problem is, burado laman nyan.

However, you can copy songs from your iPod to any PC, not with iTunes nga lang. You need to install either iPod Access or xPlay. These two softwares would allow you to copy songs from your iPod to a computer, even if the computer has no iTunes installed.

Papaano nga pala kung marami kayong naka-iPod tapos share kayo sa PC, paano mangyayari sa iTunes kapag ganun?

you can use copypod also to transfer mp3s from ipod to pc.

walang kaso yun kung multiple users under 1 pc, basta manual managing of files kayong lahat.

Sir,

Winamp has built-in iPod support. Iyon ang gamit ko dahil mas simple ang user interface. Hind siya restrictive kagaya ng iTunes, so you can plug other iPods to the same PC.
Once you plug in your iPod, it automatically appears in the Media Library of Winamp.
Pwede kayo kumopya ng songs from PC to iPod, or iPod to PC.
Album art and photo upload are also supported.

Here is another question:

My brother has an iPod Nano. He plays through a Kenwood home component system by using an earphone jack to RCA cable plugged into the Aux in of the Kenwood.

If I wanted to play the iPod videos on the home TV, can I also use an earphone jack to RCA cable (my brother is away for schooling) to play the videos on TV? Or do I have to use something that plugs to the underside of the iPod?
