The MEDIAGATE MG-35 is a high-performance Digital Media Adapter. At its most basic level, it is an external USB enclosure with media playback capability that lets users fit in a 3.5" HDD. Users are free to choose the brand and capacity of HDD they want to install.

The MEDIAGATE MG-35 supports and plays back most of the commonly-used file formats. It can also be hooked up to TVs and stereo systems with ease. Interface cables come supplied with the kit.

Another feature of the MEDIAGATE MG-35 is that it can be used as a Network Direct Attached Storage unit. Connect the MG-35 to your network switch via its RJ45 plug and it appears as a network drive

TVIX HD 4100-SH is better, it can play MKV files. most of the HD *******s out there are MKV or Divx6.
It has HDMI, optical ouput, etc.

It would have been nicer if it includes a CD/DVD or even BluRay/HD-DVD slot para talagang all-in-one player na sya.

Tvix HD 4100 SH - 17k without HDD

may menu na ba ito kasama for him just to choose the movies he'd like to watch.

and also is this compatible with 250GB Seagate SATA na? maybe i'm gonna get 1 of this. san shop mo?

US made pala yan mediagate. www.mediagateusa.com

btw, I just asked a distro friend today, the AOC 32" LCD HDTV is only priced at 36K! while the AOC 37" LCD HDTV is in the 50k price range.

puwede na kaya to pang partner dyan sa mediagate or tvix

    Thanks! Tambutsoo.

Im currently using D Link Dsm-520 for playing Divx movies. It doesnt have a Hard Disk inside. It can only stream or plays using the any USB Storage devices.

Im planning on upgrading it to TVIX which can play both TVIX & MKV.

I rather use these devices than a PC or HTPC which have noisy fans & bluky too.

question sir *tambutsoo. is it possible to install a a wireless 54g usb dongle? so that I can copy my downloaded avi's, mp3's wirelessly?

i have scanned thru the mediagate website meron isang model ng mediagate na may wireless pero yun ata pinadala dito wala

mas ok sana ng ganito kasi kakatamad ng palipat-lipat ng mediagate and also baka maa-log hard drive sa loob

sir *tambutsoo, i have thoroughly compared the two: mediagate and divco's tvix 4100SH

i think I am more convinced to get the Tvix bec. it already supports H.264 compression. with this compression scheme, halos same lang ang download pero hi-res naman to 1080i. pang-matagalan

future proof ika nga and also it has HDMI port plus you can install a wireless USB wifi dongle. the AOC that i'm looking too has HDMI. skip na ako sa DVI

this is the earlier version pero no HDMI pa

this one naman is the sleek and cool designed 5100 SH with HDMI. pero malamang mahal. compact eh

i'm gonna get me 1 of this bec. the applications are endless. puwedeng pang gamitin sa business as I tried to justify this expense to the wife hahaha
