* jun you aroused my interest hehehe
Araneta Colliseum, Araneta Center, Cubao
Robinson Galleria, Ortigas Center, Pasig ( I work in one of these skyscrapers hehehe)
Meralco-Metrowalk, Ortigas Center, Pasig
Ayala-MRT-SM, Ayala Center, Makati
Magallanes-Skyway Interchange, Makati
SM Mall of Asia, Reclamation Bay, Pasay
I skipped using the 3d map because they still looked flat. Too bad the updated images were made when there were a lot more clouds over Manila. Some of the obscured areas were UST and the part of Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite where my Mom used to live (was more clear in earlier images).
Overall, I'm delighted with the new Google Earth Manila images. Just one more reason for me to be addicted to them.....
right on nakaka-addict. I just viewed the roof of our house and our street recently hehehe. one thing I noticed pag-di gaano saturated yun lugar, madali makita bahay mo pero pag QC or manila area ang hirap.
have u tried boracay? i've been zooming in pero ayaw eh.
Jun aka Pekto - "I'm not sure myself. Whatever that narrow road is next to the gas station across the Alabang-Zapote road from Fernando's...... But yep, we're relatively close neighbors....... "
I know this road that you are referring to. I usually use this road too during those times. It was adjacent to the current Petron Gasoline Station. However, this is now BPI building.
Yeah, this Google Earth is really cool.
So if you guys know and use this road, you do know you're passing close to the mayor's house and our (well, my folks') house too.
Anyway, you're saying the gas station opposite (the Alabang-Zapote road) Fernando's Supermarket is gone?
Edit: I'm quite anxious to visit the Philippines again just to see how much that area of Pamplona has changed. It was a fun place to be back then. It seems like a fun place still, now.

Jun aka Pekto,- Yes, I was born and raised in the area. The Petron Gas Station is still there and doing good. A lot after it, is Caltex Gas Station which is at the corner of Verdant Acres/Zap-Alab Road.
I recommend the experience. Las Pinas is a thriving city and you will be surprised, I am certain, to see how different the place is, compared to the 80s.
I might start getting mixed up. So, here's a map with what I remember...Originally Posted by CVT
Edit: RFC Mall was still RFC Supermarket and much smaller then. But, it had undergone 2 remodelings and was a super-Supermarket by the time I left.
Gee. Mukhang intelligence briefing..... And this slide shows possible areas of interest........![]()
