I'm very furious right now. I have a roaming account and two days ago I got a text message stating that my load balance was below 100 pesos and the account will be turned off if I don't put more money in it within 24 hours. i immediately loaded my account for 2,000 pesos a few minutes right after receiving the message. so this morning after i got up, my roaming account has been turned off. i repeatedly called Globe's international roaming customer service (730-1000 and 730-1212). no one from their end is picking up the darn phone. their website does not even list their customer service phone. so i'm left with no roaming service after giving them my hard earned money. do you guys have a different contact information for Globe Telecom?

    Thanks in advance!

I remember last month when I called their customer service (Saturday) to inquire about their loyalty promo (free handset). Sabi sa akin, after 3 working days, may tatawag na Loyalty Officer. So, I followed it up Wednesday night. Aba, wala pa raw feedback, dapat daw 5 working days. Ok fine, tawag ulit ako Saturday. Wala pa din feedback. After several more calls after a 2 week period, tsaka lang may tumawag. Iba yata ang calendar nila, 3 working days is equivalent to 2 weeks sa kanila.

Here in Tarlac, in the past few weeks, there were days na hindi makatawag or text using Globe.

And re: Loyalty promo, I inquired about it last month and I was told I can get a Nokia 6300 or 25K of bill rebate spread in 2 years. Then last week I called again, biglang naging Nokia 5070 nalang and 12K nalang yung rebate! WTF!

they probably have now more subscrbers than they can handle ... at the same time losing key personnel going abroad

Get a Smart prepaid roaming simcard next time. That's what I use, dinadala ko sa US for when my wife sends text messages then I reply with my US phone para hindi ako load nang load. Smart prepaid roaming sims also last much longer than Globe units.

i actually had a Smart prepaid roaming, but forgot to activate it when I was in the Philippines. hindi pala pwedeng pa-activate pag nasa labas ng country ka na.

P***** ina!!!! hayop na balasubas na Globe Telecom na iyan. i have been calling Globe's customer service (if you call it that) for the past 36 hours. last night i tried calling the cust. service number and it just kept ringing and ringing until I got fed up and had to hang up. so much for a gawd awful "24 hour customer service hotline" so today, i called the number again. guess what? somebody picks up then hangs up. pu**agis!! ano bang ginagawa ng mga employees nila? may strike ba sila?

So after over 36 hours, i'm left with no roaming service and down 2,000 pesos.

so yung mga nasa labas ng Philippines.....please heed my advice. DO NOT PATRONIZE GLOBE TELECOM. their customer service is non-existent.

sorry that it was too late na for you to realized the incompetence of Globe...

ideal sa roaming ang post-paid (of any network) with at least a P5000 credit limit.

sir na activate yung roaming ko noong January 2007. then every three months tinatawagan ko ang customer service (it requires a big effort to get a hold of somebody) ng Globe para i-renew ang roaming ko (a requirement). i just renewed my roaming last month. i really don't mind calling them to renew my roaming, but the events during the past 36 hours pushed my buttons.

Pare just get a Smart simcard transfer mo lahat ng contacts mo dun and use that from now on. A bit more expensive last I heard $25 yata if you're in the US pero consider it peace of mind na lang. They're already roaming, no need to activate of course.

If not download mo yung Chikka messenger. Free text messages to any network sa Pinas, minsan may quota they have to text back so you can earn credit but it automatically renews after 24 hours yata. That's what I do libre text ko to Manila pag nasa bahay ako.

edit: Ah ok you got a Smart sim na pala. Smart move (ang corny ko hahaha)

Ang kalintekan ng SMART, if your post paid is less than 1200/mo, may 2500 na deposit pa kada roaming... samantalang prepaid wala...

customer service/customer marketing schemes here in this country is pretty shady hehe.

just recall what happened previously sa PLDT agent na babae na kinawawa ng customer, who is tama naman. we are paying for quality of service hindi para magtyaga sa palpak sa device or service tapos tayo pa uli magpapakahirap kumontact sa kanila for help. WTF!!!!

kung merun kang kakilala sa pinas, ipawork-out mo yung Globe mo (sila mag-inquire sa status)...then the best would be send the sim to pinas para dito ipasa and load or convert to G-Cash.

Got the same dilemna 3 weeks ago. nakakabwisit nga ang hotline nila walang sumasagot ngaun, even their online site ala kang mahita.

what i did is let my sis in law renew my roaming personally toa globe center. and after 24 hours it's ok.

before you don't have to renew your roaming for a year but now they made it quarterly ata or bi-annual na.

Problem with Pinoys in these jobs is that they cannot adapt to situations that calls for initiative. Most of the time they rely on orders and chain of command/procedure. That's why they stammer, and that's why they cannot deliver.

is Globe Telecom experiencing technical difficulties?
