Masyadong maraming kuwento ako, that I forgot to answer this..... They are working on waiving my pre-termination fee because of 'non-delivery of advertised product in a reasonable period of time'. So, is with the service fee for the use of their DSL resource during the time that the modem was with us.....

How accurate is Speedtest.net? My download speed is grossly overrated.

    On pldtdsl.com/speedtest.asp, it's 10484.6 kbps. Strange.

They're (speedtest and pldtdsl) are almost the same..... That way too fast!

Bro,- our village's telephone numbers were changed by PLDT just recently because of their shift to the NextGen(NGN) line, where supposedly, the main boxes are all connected to their exchanges through fiber optic lines. Thus, your telephone appears to be just a few meters from the exchange.... Marami pa raw problema ito, sabi ng nakausap ko sa kanilang center.

OT: Anyway, if you can avail of the promo from Globelines,- maganda ito... Right now, I am enjoying better than 1.2mbps at P995 per month. I understand though that only selected villages can avail of this promo until end of December...

ang problema kasi dyan sa pldt, ayaw sabihin na may problema, puros line testing ang sinasabi pag tawag mo sa call center nila. ok lang naman sa akin kung maghintay hangang sa ma stabilize nila ang line.(wag lang abutin ng taon) siguro for now i'll stick with their slow service.

OT: yung globelines ba ay DSL + landline? thanks.

Mayroon silang package na (A)DSL + landline, siyempre at a lower internet speed. What I have is pure (A)DSL connection....

eto ata bago nila. dsl+phone bundle

Php990 - 384 Kbps (tama ba yung caiptal letter na "K")
    Php1299 - 512 Kbps

Iyong 'b' ang dapat na small letter dahil bits lang ito at hindi Bytes (which is typically 8 bits), and which is represented by capital 'B'....

I think that if you're getting 70% of their advertised speed, iyon na iyon. Kasi, ang kanilang speed na sinasabi ay maximum at depende ang makukuha mo base sa kanilang instantaneous load. IMO, anything lower than 50% of their advertised speed should be reported and disputed.

Sabi ng tech ng PLDT, minimum speed mo daw should be 60% of their advertised speed.

last october, nagkaproblema din dsl ko. speed was down to 96kbps-180kbps. kinulit ko lang yung hotline nila hanggang nagpadala ng tech sa bahay. pinalitan na yung modem, ganun pa din. sabi ko baka pwede gawan ng paraan dahil importante yung dsl sa business ko, bibigyan ko na lang kako sya ng tip. then after almost an hour of tinkering and tawag-tawag sa office nila, bigla bumilis yung speed ko. ayaw naman sabihin kung ano ginawa.. i gave him 300 petot..

this is my speed now for almost 2 months. tested this while downloading a movie.. sabi nga pala ng tech, pag nagcheck kayo sa speedtest, mas accurate daw kung sa singapore kayo magkonek..
