Wala ako sa PH right now bro. Not sure kung available na sa local stores(even here).

I ordered mine directly from the Apple website.

I watched youtube tutorials for early 2009 iMacs. They’re basically the same even for late 2009 models. I used a suction cup to open the screen.

Ah, the screen was the issue ... possible to use SSD? ... what type is the HDD connector? ... how did you reinstall OS? ...

My 11yo MacBook Pro and 8yo Mac Mini got an SSD upgrade last year. Huge difference with startup time, app performance.

Of course not at par with those newer Macs with 4 cores or more but significantly better than with the mechanical hard disks.

I got time machine backups for both macs which made the restoration process a lot easier.

The 2009 iMacs were easier to upgrade than the new ones since the screen glass is only held on by magnets instead of glue.

The HDD is just a standard SATA data and power connector.

Standard SATA connector. Optical drive still working, I still have the Snow Leopard Installation dvd.

Didn’t research if can convert to SSD, planning to get the new iMac.

In the span of just 4 months, the expensive Apple leather case already looks so aged.
