i guess that's one reason why external batteries are useful...

    in the 50s and 60s,
action indoor photographers (i.e., photographers ng kasalan, binyagan, graduation, atbp) would walk around with heavy, motorcycle-battery-size packs, to power their flashguns.
    OT.

Updated my MBP yesterday afternoon. Started 1:25pm and it finished downloading about an hour and a half. The installation kinda felt forever though. I like the update. Just wish the battery percentage is showing like in Catalina. I have to hover the cursor just to see the percentage. Other than that, everything's pretty good.

Yeah Doc. I’m anticipating magsafe powerbanks will be emerging soon, if not from Apple, from 3rd party companies.

Initial reviews of the M1 powered Macs are promising. I think 8GB is more than enough for most users. But if you plan to do coding, photo/video editing, etc, definitely invest in 16GB.

I’m also wary of getting less RAM than I currently have even though reviews claim that unified RAM in the new M1s are more efficient than in x86.

Apple is going to make a killing on upselling us on RAM upgrades.

I fall in the 99.99999% demographic. 8gb will do 4k video editing just fine as well as 30 tabs on chrome.

I only do 10ish tabs and hardly do video editing. and abit of Zoom and Teams.

I think 16gb is required for parallels. though I have a windows laptop for that.
