    panasonic din sa kin, pv-gs65 model.. wla talagang kasamang firewire cable sa package. bumili na lng ako sa computer shop (i forgot the name) pero meron din sa compex yata. bili ko eh 100 pesos lng. ok din naman.

    sa simula eh connect ko lng sa pc, then na detect naman kaagad ng windows movie maker. then download ko na. medyo nde lng maganda quality pangit pag convert sa vcd. try ko yung ibang software na suggest nila.

    Yes, the FireWire transfer route is the best option. InnoDV 1000-LE capture card is dirt cheap (should be <1k) and works well. Big hard drive recommended.

    lahat ba ng usb mini dv camera pwede i download using firewire?

    if yes, try ko bili nitong InnoDV card na ito. meron na rin ba itong cable for firewire that i can connec to my camera?

    camera is a sony hc40

    Your Sony HC40 has firewire (most likely 4-pin firewire) which is what you should use to transfer video to the pc. The usb is used for still pictures in the memory stick.

    Before you buy a firewire card, make sure your pc don't already have one at the back.

    Also, buy 2 types of cables. A 4-pin to 4-pin and a 4-pin to 6-pin. The 4-4 is used to connect the camcorder to a laptop or DVD Recorder. The 4-6 is used to connect the camcorder to a firewire-equipped pc which normally has 6-pin ports.
