December 24th, 2014 10:56 PM #11IMO, when it comes to tools don't scrimp especially kung ikaw ang gagamit. Investment yan at maipapamana mo sa mga anak mo kung tatagal..Got my first hammer drill when I'm in high school. Its a 13mm reversible hammer, up to now ginagamit pa rin nakailang palit na lang ng brush. Kung bibili ka ng nasa plastic molded case, usually may kasama na drill bits for masonary and metal. Entry level yung mga 10mm chuck and yes, get the hammer-type if youre planning to work with concrete. I also recommend the keyless chuck by jacobs or rohm, dont settle for the china keyed yan ang madalas bumigay.
For drill bits, when it comes to concrete halos pareparehas lang. All drill manufacturers makes their own bits. Sa malls usually B&D, maxsell bits, may kamahalan yung makita and other branded. For metal, i use Cobalt medyo useless yung HSS-highspeed steel bumebengkong kahit sa kahoy.
Just last year i traded my broken B&D rotary tool at handyman for a BNew Skil for P1.5+k, so far buhay pa naman eto pinapagamit ko sa utility..hehe

arranged from the cheapest (errr ... also, pinakamadaling masira) to the most reliable,
toughest, and verrry expensive model / brand.
pang- bahay use lang? here are my recommendations:
- get any of the brands i mentioned.
get the tool with the most "functions" that you can afford.
- i use stainless steel drillbits for wood / metals. for concrete (masonry bits),

naglalaban- laban: B&D, Makita, Bosch.
B&D, Makita, and Bosch are great names when it comes to power tools,
only experience will tell you which is the best. ayos ba bro?
usually, 'yung mga kasamang drill bits (freebies) ng tools are ordinay steel (for boring soft woods)
and non carbide- tipped zinc coated bits (for concrete, but the tip goes off easily).
get the HSS (High Speed Steel) or the better Cobalt Bits for drilling woods / steel
and Carbide- tipped Bits for masonry. the big 3 also makes drill bits.
