September 8th, 2007 09:05 AM #67I had a Timex Sinclair ZX81 as my first computer.
It was horrible! It had not real keyboard. Instead, it had membrane button keys similar to the ones you see in microwave ovens. The worst part about the ZX81 is that it had NO POWER BUTTON. The only way to switch it on/off was to unplug the adaptor. After a couple of months, the adaptor socket became loose from the plugging and unplugging. Ayun, unstable na... minsan mag-o-off. For me the ZX81 was a bad intro to computing.
So I guess my very first computer would be my trusty Commodore64! :-) I loved that little machine to death. I even learned how to program assembly language on it just to juice out every last ounce of performance.

If memory serves, mine was a:
386MHz processor with a tower case
64MB RAM
5.25 floppy drive
3.5 floppy drive
CD-ROM
300MB Hard Drive
15" monitor
sound blaster sound card
VGA graphics card
plug-in speakers
it ran on MS-DOS and had Windows 3.1 which was the new standard back then.
Somewhat expected from a rushed car from a first time carmaker
