I use a Mac Mini with Wireless Keyboard and Mouse with a 55" led TV and a Soundfreaq Speakers

My wife does the same with her 2011 Mac Mini in our bedroom. I have an older 2006 Intel Mac Mini hooked up to the living room TV.
