i switched from pldt dsl to smartwifi after almost 3 yrs with dsl (2yrs without any problems, then the last year, intermittent connections). so far, never had problems with smartwifi, even in the middle of a storm.

putik pldt dsl, 128 lang nakukuha namin, araw araw na kmi nagrereklamo, twice a day nga di makuha sa pangungulit, bagal talaga, nakakapikon, we dont egt enough bandwidth from the server
OT: (sorry na highjack namin thread) Actually pumutol pa kami ng sanga ng pine tree para ma centre sa cellsite na pinaka malapit. nung una yung signal strength from 480-510 lang tapos nung naputol naging stable na 600-700, sabi naman nung nag install ang signal strength na recommended for them to install the service is 500 up. kapag lower than that sinasabi nila it's really up to the customer if he want's to continue with the service.
With your issue, did you try to check the signal strength, kasi baka kahit malapit yung basestation baka di naka tapat yung canopy receiver kaya di siya masyado mabilis, I think they saved the address link to check the signal strength when they installed the smartbro, when I click on the web address it routes to a canopy site where you can check the signal strength. kung ok naman signal strength, I saw some houses with smartbro na medyo mababa yung lugar what the installer did is gumamit sila ng dalawang tubo instead of one 500php yata yung charge para mai taas yung receiver kasi baka may interference or it's being blocked by the houses or trees, contact customer service para they can fix your issue asap.

From research 512Kilobits per second is equivalent to 64 kilobytes per second... sabi ng PLDT 60-80% utilization so 38-51 kilobytes per second dapat ang download speed.
as of 2am today, im downloading a 30mb movie, between 60 to 70kbps download speed
i agree na mabagal talaga customer service ng pldt..
right now, i'm getting an average of 350kbps on plan 999.. tested on pldt play..
retest after 10 mins at pldt play again,
Bandwidth Test Results : 375.00 kbps

alin ba totoo dito...
since then, mas reliable na speed...
ARGH!!! :fire:
Had connection problems too with PLDTMyDSL for about 3 weeks already. They do call and sometime like magic, connection goes up for a day or two then gone again! &%$Q*(#&$%(#%$#%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :fire: :fire: :fire:
I tested my (cable broadband) connection out of curiosity. PLDT is still the slowest. Why? I'm not sure. Deliberate shackling of bandwidth, maybe?
