Also TV prices fell have China and SKorea brands to thank for. Prices during 2010 when Japanese brands still dominated the market were quite high. Nowadays there's only Sony though it's screen are not even Japanese that's wholly Japanese owned that's left in the Market.

Samething happened with Android smartphones and soon with cars...

Pleasantly surprised that TCL upgraded my pre-pandemic TV's firmware from plain Android to AndroidTV. I lost hope na may update sya kasi based on the FW version it looked like a PH branch that will never be updated. New FW fixed a lot of bugs and performance improvement is very noticeable.

Devant and TCL seems worth it for the affordable brands.

Best alternative sa Sony, tingin ko is TCL, kapag dito ka sa Pilipinas.. Sony, TCL and Hisense ang merong Google TV..
At kung physical store ka bibili either Abenson or SM, sila makakausap mo sa warranty (replacement for brand new).. Maayos yung mga updates ni TCL sa user interface nya.. Kaya kahit luma na ang model, mabilis pa din ang performance, baka dahil sa partnership nila sa Google TV..

"We are excited to partner with TCL to bring Google TV to customers around the world. Google TV is a more helpful and delightful TV experience that helps users find the content they love," said Shobana Radhakrishnan, Senior Engineering Director, Google TV.

Our Sharp 32" in LED TV conked out na. The same model is still available at Anson's for P8,898 but this is the 3rd one over many years and I think it's sirain. I have good experience with Hisense (lasted us 7 years)

    Sharp 2T-C32CB1M 32in LED TV - Ansons

Next size is 43" and all smart tv so I am choosing among Hisense, Devant and Skyworth. It will be used with regular cable TV and maybe will learn how to use Netflix? Which is the most durable brand?

    Hisense 43A4GS 43in Smart TV
    Vidaa U Operating System
    Enhanced Color Imaging
    Netflix / YouTube
    ₱14,800

    Hisense 43A4GS 43in Smart TV - Ansons

Devant 43STW101 43in Full HD webOS TV
FREE Devant SWS-01B Soundwave Speaker worth ₱4,450
    webOS Operating System
    ThinQ Voice Command
    Dolby Digital Plus
    ₱14,800

Devant 43STW11 43in Full HD webOS TV - Ansons

    Skyworth 43STD4000 43in Smart TV

Devant seems to be a reliable brand based on how many I see using them.

Thanks. I watched reviews on Smart TVs and now I am thinking if I should just buy the exact same regular LED because my Mom only uses cable TV so she might get confused with a Smart TV?
