Im not rich by any means, but I honestly dont find the cost of software being not "justifiable". It is expensive, yes. But read this thread palang on how many are having issues with the cost of the software but can afford to buy more expensive, non-income generating items.

If you're from the IT field, don't forget why you get a heftier paycheck than other industries even if you have less work experience.

If you have a computer shop, each one of your pc that's operating will generate income for you, I find it strange that people will be willing to spend 10K on a video card and not for an OS or application that they'll use often.

I'm not being "banal" or anything, I use P* software just like most of us, but to say that the price is too high for a device that's not a "necessity" for the basic citizen doesn't make sense.

I find the fact that people thinks software don't deserve the price simply because people equate buying a software to the actual CD/DVD that they're holding. Not accounting for the cost of developing and testing the stuff inside the disc.

Parang yung issue ng pirated videos dati... Lower the cost of originals, kalokohan. Alam ba ng tao apart from the actual celebrity that's on the movie/cd there are people who gets paid in doing "lesser" duties like promoting, printing, marketing, editing, encoding, designing, writing, composing, etc?

Who'll pay their food on their table?

Yan ang problema dito in my opinion, laging galit sa "kumikita" but not thinking about the only reason why you even know how to use a computer is because companies invested their money on something to benefit users.

Naging kasalan pa nung gumawa ang piracy, c'mon.

Parang sinabi mo na kasalanan ng naholdap at di yung holdaper dahil nagtrabaho ka kasi at kumikita ka eh...

Why not protest Ferarri for selling their cars at such high prices??? Why not protest Toyota/Honda for selling their entry level cars above 100K? Why not complain to Jolibee why their hamburgers cost 30 bucks while Scott burger costs 10?

Sa Pinas lagi pagdating sa batas kailangan paabutin sa "tinatakot" bago kumilos diba? Kung umabot sa ganito, kaya din pala magcomply. Just like the BIR crackdown etc. Kung makakalusot lulusot.

I'm not bashing anyone in particular, but more on the reasoning.

Yes mahal ang software, but just like anything else, if you can't afford it, either don't buy it or save up for it. If you choose to not do the right thing and go pirated, then don't make the company the reason of why you went that route.

Kasalanan ba ng Nokia kung hanggang 6150 lang kaya kong bilin na cellphone?

"Bring down the prices for Filipinos" Kahit anong nationality pa yan, walang laban ang presyo sa libre.

Kahit naman may mga P300 na orig na dvd P60 na pirated padin naman bibilin ng mga tao eh.

As long as it's an untangible item and easily replicated, it'll never be able to compete with bootleg in smaller markets.
