Ah yes... the ultimate scapegoat... blame the government! Damn if they do, damn if they don't.

The BSA already did this before (with warning letters and all).

Microsoft is a private business out to earn money - not a charity organization. What is wrong with protecting their interests? And if they want cheap licenses for educational institutions and such - they can try to ask from Microsoft itself.

Btw, raids are not only done against users of illegal software but also against the sellers. If you've noticed - some shops are already displaying legitimate / licensed software packages along with the pirated ones.
