July 22nd, 2013 08:14 PM #61Contrary to our original plan of buying a lase printer, we bought Epson L110 (the one with OEM CISS)
First impression is it is a lot faster than our cheap Stylus printer.
Compared to HP printers I used before, Epson L110 is a bit slower at standard quality mode.
The draft quality really looks like a draft. Standard quality is acceptable but not that sharp compared to HP inkjets.
But since our printing needs are quite basic, I am satisfied up to this time.

For small inkjet printers, Canon. For small laser printers (color or B&W), HP. For enterprise multi-function printers, Canon. And for wide-format (plotter) printer, Epson.

Yes, you got that right.
But then, they all suck at one thing or another.
For example, Canon's enterprise service (which you have to pay per page) is very good. HP's service is consumer like. They won't send someone to you - you have to be on the phone with them for hours to troubleshoot. Epson's service is non-existent.

For low to medium volume color prints, it is hard to beat the EPSON L110 inkjet printers with built-in continuous ink system. 90% less headache than doing an inkjet printer with 3rd party CIS... no need to replace worn out print cartridges.

We also have the L100. The L110 is the newer model. Overall they are the same but the L110 is almost twice faster to print the same page/quality. Also the software does not need you to type in the ink bottle control number anymore. Print-head cleaning option includes black or color head only which helps save ink when doing a cleaning cycle.
Probably looks like a Coke sakto. Yes, where did you buy it?
