Agree, the process is easy, but knowing which specific software to use for specific versions of the device and matching with the present Os of the device is not. Moreover, in the event when software conflict occurs any "idiot" would not know what to do if one doenst have previous experience. Its just like installing a certain software and usually takes 15 mins maybe less.

I don't think sayang lang....I'd rather put it into two situations: you need a new phone now and cost is not an issue. Kung ganito ang situation, getting the iP5 is a go! And no need to wait for iP5s. By tradition, I think apple will wait for October 2013 to release the iP5s. So kung need mo na, why wait for it.

besides, pwede mo naman ibenta ung iP5 just in case you opt to buy the iP5s. mataas naman resale value ng iphone parang honda.

Iphone 5S will probably be like the 4S. Improved camera. Improved shell case (to rectify "scuff-gate" much like 4S corrects the "antennagate"). New A6x or A7 chip.

I'd rather wait for an all new design in 2014 (Iphone 6) than 5S.

    ==============

Resale depends on how you got the phone. If you are a big user and got it for free from a service provider then if you sell it now then it worth it. If you paid like 30K for it, then you resell in 2 yrs, it would be like 50% price.

May issue ba sa power ang iP5? Or is it a rumored issued lang?!?

I don't really experience a big issue about the battery life ng 5 in the past nearly two weeks that I am using it. So far, it behaves like my prevoius 4 and 4s. My wifes' iP5 even lasted 3 days on normal seldomly used mode without recharge (still more than 20% left). My 4s also don't have issue na after the IOS was upgraded (last year).

Now kung maraming tawag, panay wifi and blue-tooth, maybe power drain will be really an issue (just like any other phone). Anyway, I do a carry with me a 5500mAh MiPOW power tube with me as back-up power source, a car charger on my ride and the standard charger on my laptop bag.

The target market of gadget companies like apple are those people who want to be always updated w/ what's new. you will just realize later on that there's ain't much of a difference between the old model and the new one.

Good on you bro. Medyo subjective din kasi, different users have their own ways of using the phone and sa mga nakilala ko na may iP5 ang feedback geenrally ay mas mabilis maubos ang batt.... maybe due to faster processor and the much larger lcd screen.

Malapit na lalabas ang IPhone 5S/6 (?)...

Apple testing new iPhone, iOS 7: report
By Chandni Doulatramani | Reuters – 14 hours ago

(Reuters) - Apple Inc has started testing a new iPhone and the next version of its iOS software, news website The Next Web reported.

The company's shares rose as much as 4.3 percent but eased a little to trade up 3 percent at $546.11 by mid-day on the Nasdaq.

Application developers have found in their app usage logs references to a new iPhone identifier, iPhone 6.1, running iOS 7 operating system, the website reported.

Apple's iPhone 5 bears the identifiers "iPhone 5.1" and "iPhone 5.2" and is powered by the iOS 6 operating system.

Developer logs show that the app requests originate from an internet address on Apple's Cupertino campus, suggesting that Apple engineers are testing compatibility for some of the popular apps, the website said.

"Although OS and device data can be faked, the unique IP footprint leading back to Apple's Cupertino campus leads us to believe this is not one of those attempts," the website said.

Raymond James analyst Tavis McCourt, however, expects the next version of the iconic smartphone to be called iPhone 5S and not iPhone 6.

Apple typically tags the interim version of its phones with an "S" before moving on to a new version. iPhone 3GS followed iPhone 3G and the iPhone 4S
    followed iPhone 4.

McCourt also said he wouldn't be surprised if Apple looked at an earlier launch because of the stress on its supply chain caused by late-year launches.

Apple launched iPhone 5 in September and it has been reported that the new iPhone will be released in the middle of 2013.

Techradar.com reported last month that Apple could unveil the next version of its iPhone as early as the spring of 2013.

some websites speculate the choice of different color being limited to the backside aluminum like the 5th gen Ipod touch. Front glass will still be in either black or white.

Rumor: iPhone 5S to launch in June in range of sizes and colors
    AFP Relax – Sat, Jan 5, 2013

The next iPhone will feature new touch-sensor technology, a choice of two screen sizes and will be available in a range of five colors, according to recent rumors.

The latest round of rumors relating to the next Apple iPhone suggests that it will come with a new form of touchscreen technology called touch on display, which offers an improvement over the current iPhone 5's touch-sensing capabilities, and that it will come in a choice of two different screen sizes and five different colors.

According to The China Times, recent supply constraints relating to the iPhone 5 have been caused by production problems with its display and that this, coupled with the fact that many iPhone users have reported scrolling problems with the latest version of the handset, has prompted Apple to move to a different touch sensor technology for future models of its smartphone.

Meanwhile, according to the latest investment note published this week by Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White and first reported by the AppleInsider blog, his research has led him to claim that Apple is planning to offer a choice of screen size and color when the company launches the iPhone 5S, possibly in May or June 2013. "Our checks indicate that the next iPhone will have more choices for customers. This entails an expansion in both the color patterns and screen sizes with the next iPhone that we currently believe will be launched in May/June with certain supply production starting in March/April," he wrote. White believes the next iPhone will be available in five different colors: pink, yellow, blue, white and silver and black and slate.
