don't know about the chipping issue with other's but mine's almost as pristine as when i took it out of the box. it changed hands sa office of course nobody would dare mishandle it in some way. an old, leather sennheiser pouch for a snug fit keeps it safe inside my trouser pocket among keys and coins. i don't know probably i just got lucky and the apple god blesses apple die-hards like me. also got 1st gen ipod and nano ganun din no worries. nonetheless i queried apple re i06's trouble with 4g network and i'll have the ipad checked tomorrow. speaking of 1st gen black nano placed beside a black ip5 they look quaintly like father and son sa design- la naman just bored here.

Don't ask about battery life pag touch screen na smart phone. Sigurado malakas sa battery yan.

Yung S3 ko with 3G, with text and 1hour talk time, Swerte na yung umabot ng 8hours. Kaya mas pinili ko yung may user replaceable battery. Para palit lang ng palit

iphone scores an impressive A grade in display category compared to s3 and ip4

Smartphone displays are continuing their rapid evolution in performance. Apple has again taken the lead in methodical refinements and factory calibration that are necessary to produce accurate very high picture quality. Based on our extensive Lab measurements the iPhone 5 has a true state-of-the-art accurate display – it’s not perfect and there is plenty of room for improvements (and competitors) but it is the best Smartphone display we have seen to date based on extensive Lab measurements and viewing tests. In particular it is a significant improvement over the display in the iPhone 4 with much lower screen Reflections, much higher image contrast and screen readability in high ambient lighting (the highest we have ever measured), and a significantly improved and accurate Color Gamut and Factory Calibration that delivers very accurate colors and very good picture quality. While it’s not quite as accurate as the new iPad, it is still probably more accurate than any consumer display you own (including your HDTV), unless you have a new iPad.

Scratch and chip here to stay...Invest in a bumper or a case.

Apple head of Marketing comments the iPhone 5 scratches, says they are normal
    8 hours ago by Vince

It’s known that the aluminum shell of the iPhone 5 has been plagued by chipping issues and that has certainly made a lot of iPhone 5 owners quite unhappy. One of them even wrote an email to Apple’s Senior VP of Worldwide Marketing Phil Schiller and much to his surprise, he got a response.

9to5Mac has verified the authenticity of the email, but this is hardly the response the user was hoping to get. Phil Schiller’s message to the affected users is a quite clear “Deal with it”.

Any aluminum product may scratch or chip with use, exposing its natural silver color. That is normal.

That’s not that surprising, considering that Apple was aware of the issues prior to releasing the smartphone to the public.

So, iPhone 5 owners, there you have it – if you want to keep your new Apple smartphone in a mint condition, you should probably invest in a case or just be really really careful. And you shouldn’t expect any sympathy from Apple or its Senior Vice President of Marketing.

bumper cases are what's makes it more exciting as iDevices coz you get to flaunt that too. Dapat at least you own more colors to match your mood or color of shirt. iPhone and iPad cases are fashion statements too you know. sa iPad nga I sport a Viva Vervado made in Italy leather case.

    Apple iPhone 5
    16GB - 47,000
    32GB - 54,000
    64GB - 59,500
Beside getting a case, don't trust your IP5 with a kid with keys...
