Easy, bro. What I posted is a mere statement of fact. Nothing more to it.

^Ah, I see. Well, at least that's more convenient than sticking to the dangerously low speed limit. Thanks...

Most politicians don't stick to the speed limit (or follow the rules for that matter), so they probably wouldn't mind people using a detector...if they do know what it is.

If you plan to buy a V1, check other sites that offer it at a price better than at the site I posted. Some sites that ship to addresses within continental USA can offer it slightly cheaper that from the site I bought it from (since that site ships internationally).

I see...I've read about the V1 since 1999 on C&D, but it's only recently that I've understood the benefits (I was about 10 years old back then). Now I want one...huhuhu. With enough cash, maybe I would buy one when I go back to the States and get it shipped to my erpats.

    EDIT:

I saw Cobra laser/radar detectors on Amazon that sell for as low as $40! It's just a 9-band. Will those work here?

There are detectors that are cheaper. But they also offer less protection or detect too late.

You can check out review sites to find what works for your budget.

My cousins in the US have radar detectors in their cars. Escort yata ang brand kasi cordless. Pero bawal daw duon kaya medyo tago ang pagkakalagay. Mga kaskasero kasi.

I like to avail one kasi ang sarap magpatakbo ng matulin sa NLEX at SCTEX.

Well... the local government can ban use, but they can't ban possession. Simply disconnect it and stick it in the glove if you're stopped.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

what a nice gadget to add/buy, if my ride is able to top more than 150kph. But for now, riding a sportivo. and thinking all that deadening and mdf i've added-- i think my ride serves as my speed limit cause i couldn't speed up more than 120kph both in nlex and sctex.

    OT:

IF you are looking at adding more reliable horsepower to your Sportivo, you might want to consider the Devil's Own water/methanol injection kit being sold by SPEEDLAB.

    just a question sirs,

those guys manning the speed radar in the expressways, do they change their locations frequently or do they just stay at one place all the time?

if they stay at one place all the time, say when entering bocaue exit like what i backread here, then we can just slow down when nearing the area/ areas where they usually hang-out.

im from bulacan and i use the NLEX all the time, but i only pass by 2-3 exits...

    TIA

Meron din kasi ticketing for speeding at the DAU exit. (So if you are postive you've been tagged, exit at Angeles instead of DAU.)

So far during my last few passes through NLEX/SCTEX, I haven't spotted them.
