As for external devices.......
It took a bit to find my Belkin USB WiFi G adapter. But, it was found and works. Win 7 also found/installed drivers (printing and scanning) for my old HP 4100 series printer minus all that crap that came with the HP cd.
Also, I used a DVD-RW disc to copy the Win 7 iso image to and it worked great. No wasted DVD-R.
Just about the only driver I installed myself was the latest 3rd-party nVidia GF8xxx driver in lieu of the WHQL one used by Win 7.
