Who among here is using EMET...? not an antivirus software but a threat mitigating tool from Microsoft which prevent malicious software to exploit vulnerabilities of programs within your system. EMET now is in its version 3, been using it since version 1.

that's right, and also running 2 AVs in one system will have conflict in their real-time scanning engine.
But technically it is possible, some experts advice that if you opt to run 2 AVs you have to choose only one real-time scanner and disable the others.

Btw, i'm using MSE + Avast

One is enough if I may suggest, what you need to add is a good firewall, anti-malware/spyware to harden further your system security and not an additional av

any antivirus will do basta protektado. then install a firewall para sa additional protection. at empre, be a responsible internet / computer user. minsan kasi from the inside galing ang problema.

false! every system has its own vulnerability yet to be discovered.

have you ever heard of Cross-Platform Malware?

    Note:
typing Mac OS malware in Google will easily give you an idea how it is vulnerable to malicious software just like its counter-part.

well, that was somehow true 10 years ago pa, konti pa lang share sa market ng mac os kaya di ginagawan ng virus, now mac os is catching up on market share napagtuunan na rin sila ng pansin ng mga hackers.

if you think about it, microsoft have been battling virus ever since ms-dos pa lang sila. kaya updated na sila sa virus technology, unlike mac na ngayon pa lang inaatake, kumbaga newbie pa sa virus warfare.

There are computer users who don't utilized the power of security software like antivirus but rather exploit the benefits of sandboxing or virtualization where they work iniside a sandboxed or virtualized environment isolated from the host system. Virus and Malware infection may occur but contained only within sandboxed. Resetting and turning of the computer also remove any traces of viruses, malwares etc inside its own environment. e.g. products like sandboxie, deepfreeze, virtualbox, VM, Virtual PC, Microsoft steady state, GESwall, Returnil and more... even security software like avast AV and Comodo firewall also offers this kind of features.

    example:
