Consider also what CPU is used, it's cheaper coz it uses either VIA or Transmeta Crusoe.
I'm using a Fujitsu Lifebook P series with Transmeta Crusoe, 700Mhz 128mb, and I find it slowwww.

Maybe try to consider a processor above a 1Ghz speed.
