If I had the money, then YES! I'd buy one. I prefer a classic 911 Targa model.

But if I had one, and I'm still living in Metro Manila, my 911 would probably be a prisoner in my own garage! Siguro after 10 years of owning it, less than 1000km pa lang mileage niya. :D
Assuming I had one, no way I'd let my 911 run on the crooked potholed streets of MM.
I'll just wax / seal it all day and maybe take it for a run within the subdivision...then wash, wax / seal again. Heheheheh...

Driving straight roads will get boring after a while.

Curves are still better because they challenge the drive & the car.

Pwede yung mountain roads in Tanay, Rizal, especially on a weekend.

Driven through it with my (ex) project Sentra car and my new car, a Lancer EX (mods include UNICHIP, full coilover kit & upgraded wheels). Wonderful driving experience especially if the car is setup properly to handle twisties and turns.

Gusto ko na talaga bumili noon pa... pera na lang talaga ang kulang. Lagi nga ako nahuhuli ng mga MMDA sa EDSA "driving without a car".:drive1:

I own several Porsches in Australia..my daily ride is a 1987 model 928S4.
It is as healthy as the day it was built and is excellent for Australian highways and city traffic.
Porsches must be maintained properly by trained, qualified mechanics and they will reward you with years of happy motoring.
Porsches in the Philippines? Nooo! What a waste of fine machinery on the shocking roads and heavy traffic.
I drive a Mercedes in Cebu. I have yet to find a mechanic who understands how to look after it. Every time it has a "service" it comes back with screws and bolts missing...do that to a Porsche and you are in BIG trouble.

Fast cars are nice, but I'd always think of practicality first. For that I'd get an Audi Q7 V12 TDi.

I'd still go for the classic look:

I heard you could get these from Port Irene nowadays.

you just have to bring it to the right shop, there are a lot of reputable shops out here in the philippines but of course there are more shops who don't know any thing about high end cars.

about the traffic i agree with you, but most people here who owns super cars like porsches only use it on the weekend. they usually go trough nlex/sctex or slex where you can go as fast as 200-300kph especially on sctex. then bring it to the track also for fun runs, that's why they usually only use it on the week ends.

so yes if i have the money i'd buy a porsche for a week end car and buy a cheap car to use as my daily driver. it's not really a waste to own a super car here in the philippines, as long as you know where and when to use it.

targa 4S please also in classic red. I always tulo laway whenever I see these on the road. Thing about it is that most of the drivers are old wealthy men...sometimes I wonder if I buy one of these will it be the right image for me?....maybe not for now. Also, if I see a very young man driving one of the high-end cars first thing that comes to my mind is "was it daddy who bought the car or is he really lucky to have a wealthy family?" Don't get me wrong, there are young people out there who really work hard to earn and can buy these cars but most of the time it is not there priority and buy something else like a house or alike that has more value for money in the long run.
