Things are about to get very expensive in the US. Uniqlo and other clothing apparel are now more expensive there than here in the Philippines.
Ironically one of the reasons the dems loss was higher prices...

The Trump Reciprocal Trade Act is also likely to pass with a Republican-controlled Congress, which would increase the tariff on any imported good from a third country to equal that imposed by the third country in question on the same good when imported from the United States.
In addition to increased tariffs, a second Trump administration calls for revoking China's Normal Trade Relations status, also known as Most Favored Nation (MFN) status. Insiders also indicate that this proposed change will be done during the first 100 days of Trump's second term through executive action, which would trigger import duties on products originating in China that are 10 times higher than imports from other countries.

November 27th, 2024 01:42 PM #3983Uniqlo has always been more expensive in the US than the Philippines form my experience.
The US brands like GAP, Banana Republic, Aeropostale, Old Navy are the ones that are cheaper in the US than here.
US car manufacturers will be hit with tariff since most have plants outside the US like Mexico and Canada.
Prices of most US auto will surely go higher.

Kamala spent $1.5B donor money in a few months and is now is $20M in the hole. Donald spent about what? $300M-$350M spread out over 2 years? That tells a lot right there.
The losers are still bitter and butt-hurt, "Just you wait! What you voted for will bite you back! Mark my word!" *finger-wagging*HAHAHAHA This is too funny...never mind all the YT videos of them having a meltdown.....HAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHA

How Jimmy Carter spent his final years building houses for the poor as he continued life of public service | Indepndent
by Graeme Massie, Ariana Baio

Even well into his 90s, Carter put on a hard hat and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, the nonprofit organization he often partnered with through The Carter Center.
The one-term president — who died Sunday at his home in Plains, Georgia — worked alongside 103,000 volunteers in 14 countries to build, renovate and repair 4,331 homes with Habitat for Humanity for more than 35 years. Often, Carter and his late wife, former first lady Rosalynn Carter, volunteered together.

Hindi pa nakaka-upo sa white house uli si trump nag -iimplode na agad Ang maga coalition.
The center of the traditional maga vs neo maga feud is the h1b visa abuse of tech oligarchs. Nagagalit Ang mga mostly puting Kano especially Kay Ramaswamy. Nahuli na daw nila Ang modus.
Even elon is getting a lot of flak for him favoring the uneven recruitment distribution of white collar skilled workers especially in the high paying tech world.
I'm a bit Surprised it took Took the Americans a while to see this thoughLast edited by baludoy; January 1st, 2025 at 02:11 PM.

America on high alert . allegations of terrorist attacks have been made after A Tesla cyber truck exploded at the door step of Trump hotel Las Vegas and a former enlisted man in a pickup truck ran over several new year revellers in new Orleans.

TikTok to be banned in the USA on Sunday unless there's a last minute change of ownership.
Incoming president, donald trump, has indicated he wants a stay on the closure of American operation of the app , but at the moment, he has no powers to do anything about it. He assumes office on Monday so it's a case of too late the hero for TikTok aficionados.
USA is set to join india in wholly disallowing the Chinese owned app to operate in its territory for fear of security breaches.Last edited by baludoy; January 18th, 2025 at 11:40 AM.
