Drilon urged to explain Makati property

SENATOR Franklin Drilon was urged to explain to the public a piece of land located inside the posh Forbes Park, Makati registered under the name of his stepdaughter which critics believe he actually owns.

Critics alleged the senator actually owns the 1,542 square meters lot on which the house of his stepdaughter, Eduarda, stands.

The land is estimated to be worth P31 million. At today’s real estate rates, the house and lot could be worth twice or thrice the assessed value.

However, people are wondering how could Eduarda buy such an expensive property?

As far as Forbes Park neighbors know, the property belongs to the senator.

The Forbes Park land is being linked to the Iloilo International Airport Project which Drilon oversaw during the time of President Joseph Estrada.

People said the Senate must look into these allegations to remove any doubts on the senator.

However, if Drilon turns out to be the true owner, he should be charged for violating laws governing public officials including falsification of public documents and the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

This Corona impeachment is looking more and more like PNOY really IS JUST trying to save Hacienda Lucita awarded 22 years ago to the working farmers. What shocks me is why this was NEVER revealed earlier. Neil Tubas was handling the Hacienda Lucita legal account directly for the Cojuangco family for over 5 years. What a bad smell this is for PNOY...who directly charged and requested removal of Corona immediately after the Supreme Court Hacienda Lucita ruling.

I think it is more of "practice what you preach" mentality. kasi kung yung mentality sinasabi mo e walang matitirang tao sa pinas.:D
