Same as before. Can't even touch $110. Still same equilibrium. Guess no oil price rollback this weekend.

Brent nagtaas for the first time in 3 days after just minor changes in the past 2 weeks.

The tension in the ME has more weight than the economic slowdown.

There's an oil depot in Pandacan right by Malacanang. And their gas prices are still 2 pesos higher than ours in Laguna.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

everybody thought the exchange between Turkey and Syria would be short-lived

    but they're still at it

Turkey sent fighter jets to the border

    now this --

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...668888326.html

ISTANBUL—Turkey scrambled fighter planes late Wednesday to force a Syrian passenger plane en route from Moscow to Damascus to land in Ankara due to suspicions the plane was carrying weapons, the latest in a series of episodes that have dramatically heightened tensions between the neighbors and underscored the regional dimensions of Syria's deepening conflict.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Turkish officials confirmed that the plane, a civilian aircraft, was being searched on the runway at the capital's Esenboga Airport and said Turkey had banned its own civilian aircraft from Syrian airspace effective immediately amid fears of mounting insecurity.
now this is one way to drag Iran into a war with the West. Syria and Iran are allies. Turkey is a NATO member. if Turkey and Syria go to war Iran will help Syria. that's justification for NATO to attack Iran

    things just got more complicated

Russia demands explanation from Turkey over intercepted jet | Reuters

(Reuters) - Russia is demanding an explanation from Turkish authorities after Ankara detained a Syrian civilian airplane en route from Moscow to Damascus with Russian citizens on board, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.

The ministry said that Turkish authorities refused to grant Russian diplomatic staff access to 17 Russian citizens on board during the eight hours that the flight was held up because of suspicions the aircraft was carrying military equipment.

Babalik ba tayo sa cold war?

Sa China-Japan row, Russia is with China, US Japan. Dito Syria naman kampi ruso, kano naman sa Turkey kasi NATO member.

Interesting indeed how this will turn out.

    Thomson Reuters: Crude Update
By Thomson Reuters - Thu 11 Oct 2012 08:18:44 CT

Brent crude climbed toward $115 a barrel as rising tensions in the Middle East stoked supply fears, keeping prices less than a dollar away from their highest in almost a month, although forecasts of lower demand capped gains.
