Oil Prices are down... pero transport is at an all time high. some oil transport companies are already break-even Q1 pa lang, looking forward to Q2

so although Oil is cheap... it will not go too low as madaming oil companies ngayon are just taking ships as storage facilities, waiting na umangat ulit ang demand

how much oil a supertanker can handle?
let's say zzz bbl and the surplus oil production is almost the same.
if no more supertankers available it follows that oil producers must cut the surplus production output + an additional production cut to create storage capacity.

Oil tanker rates double as demand for storage and transport resurfaces | Reuters

Freight rates for very large crude-oil carriers (VLCC) along the Middle East Gulf to China route were assessed at about $180,000 a day on Monday, up from some $125,000 on Friday and a weekly low of about $90,000 a day on Wednesday, according to several ship broking sources.

even if US shale oil companies are unlikely to organize themselves and agree to a production cut

they WILL be forced to cut production anyway coz price is too low
