Right now, crude price is about $50+ per barrel, and is expected to go back to the level of $60 per barrel. So expect our prices to increase more in the coming weeks, though not to the level of last year when oil was over $100 per barrel.
Yes bro. For next week, expect an increase of P2.20 for gasoline and P1.25 for diesel. Baka tumaas pa forecast as the weekend nears.
Yes, roughly ganyan. I use $3=P1 to estimate.
But the forecasts I post here are based on MOPs, kaya mas malapit sa actual movement and already forecasts separately gas and diesel.
For those wondering why prices are surging again, the simple answer is that people are speculating that supply will decline in the coming months, as a result of the US halting a lot of their drilling. About 500 oil rigs have ceased operations in the past 4 months.
From a low of $45 per barrel this January, we expect it to sharply climb back up to $60 per barrel in the coming weeks, and then slowly creep back to $80 by year end. That means gasoline prices of about P45/L and diesel of about P35/L.
Lahat naman halos ng Shell/Caltex/Seaoil/Unioil, Tatsuno ang gamit. Total uses a mix of Gilbarco, Tokheim, and Tatsuno for the newer ones. Most Petrons also use Tatsuno, but their older stations still have different pumps (these are mostly just in the far flung provinces though). [emoji4]
As a customer, it's hard to know which stations have crap dealers (though dirty ones are usually an indicator but not always). However, guys from the petroleum companies are always on the active lookout to kick out those dumpee, delinquent dealers.

My suking Petron has Veeder-Root pumps, is this also a good brand? Malinis naman yung tanks nila, haven't gotten any water from the fuel filters.

The problem is, hindi natin alam kung kailan nagpapalit ng filter un mha stations. The pump itself has a filter and probably a water separator. Noong nagpunta kame sa south, may nakita akong pump na binaklas, probably for maintenance. To my surprise wala akong nakitang filters.
Was talking with a friend from one of the big three also and he did say they're looking at 80/barrel. As long as it remains stable at 43-45, i can live with that.

SINGAPORE - Petrol prices are creeping back up, after falling in January to rates last seen in 2009.
Both Caltex and Shell revised their prices on Wednesday, with Esso doing likewise on Thursday.
The most popular petrol grade, 95-octane, now costs $1.83 a litre at Caltex and Shell, and $1.80 at Esso.
Prices for the 98-octane grade range from Esso's $1.94 to Shell's V-Power for $2.30 a litre.
The cheapest grade, 92-octane, is now $1.79 a litre at Caltex, and $1.76 at Esso.
Pump prices at the Singapore Petroleum Company (SPC) have remain unchanged since Jan 15. The price for 95-octane at SPC is $1.75 a litre, with 98-octane at $1.88 and 92-octane at $1.71.
Diesel at Caltex and Shell is now $1.32 a litre, $1.30 at Esso, and $1.25 at SPC.
All prices are before discounts. Last month, pump prices fell to levels harking back to 2009, when crude oil fell to below US$50 per barrel.
The benchmark Brent crude, however, surged to US$57.91 on Tuesday.
