Anyways, andyan na ang K-12 so any further discussion is moot at this point.
ASEAN implemented reciprocity for professionals to practice their profession provided we are at par with their education system..Many future filipino professionals will be affected if we dont upgrade..professionals prior to K12 need to take extra schoolings to cover the lack of 2 years

An architect from Singapore can sign designs to be implemented here but a filipino architect with non K12 education cant sign architectural plans to be implemented in Singapore unless they take extra schooling

Now that we are k12 this will no longer be required

ASEAN architects qualifications are based on experience, licensing, and CPD

    Singapore
    Be an ASEAN architect

    Philippines
    ASEAN Architect

Nothing about K-12 in becoming an Asean Architect

But I believe K12 was done for global equivalency purposes

That's the pain..but as the adage go..no pain, no gain

If we dont proceed now, when can we proceed?

If we are not ready now, when will be ready?

In any endeavor there will be mistakes..what is important is we learn from it and do our best to correct it

I believe it was because most of our pre-K to 12 baccalaureate degree holders were not being treated as equals to other college graduates from other countries. I remember I had this batchmate in UP who was summa cum laude in our class who was made to take up an extra 2 years when he applied for gradschool in the US, Singapore, Japan and Taiwan. We only had 14 years of formal schooling (6 years primary, 4 in HS and 4-5 in college) compared to 16 in other countries. OTOH, I being a bit of a bum in college took a bit longer to graduate and got accepted easily.

Were trying to get our dad to be an Asean Architect and there no requirement for extra education

    But this is all moot

Because a Singaporean architect will still hire a local counterpart in an overseas project and vice versa

For example, in Park Central Towers was designed by SCDA (SG) with LV Locsin as the local counterpart

in the future the attached will be the guiding principle for accepting ASEAN professionals

    educational standard is a prerequisite

if it takes 5 years to be an architect in singapore and the same holds true in the philippines then we are compliant, but theres also the primary and secondary educational standards they look at, thats where our professionals can fail to comply if we didnt upgrade our educational system to k12

again k12 makes our future professionals compliant to this ASEAN mutual agreement, this will help them to be more competitive in the ASEAN job market in the future

after all we are a labor exporting country

Would be interesting if he actually went to a muslim community and be mortified that mostly its cats and not dogs inside their house. And then the slip of the tongue derogatory remark about being of labelling them as dubious or of questionalble character. hehe

Can't judge a person by their pets alone.

Did they move Ninoy and Cory's tombs to accommodate Noynoy's? Parang centered na yung dati, then now after madagdag tomb ni Pnoy, centered pa din sya sa mausoleum nila.

That would include the railways and ZTE projects, both known to be replete in corruption even before Noynoy had them reviewed and suspended. Kung natuloy yung mga yan, they would be another of those white elephants which will weigh us down with the payments. I do think we need a railway system, but not kung way overpriced due to corruption. Yung ZTE, I'm not sold on the feasibility of that project. Bago pa man matapos yan obsolete na at wala namang budget pang-upgrade.

Even prior to K-12 dami na talaga reklamo dyan sa mga textbooks at module ng DEPed. Ginawa na kasing business sa loob yan, to include mga so-so writers at mga insiders sa kagawaran.

Medyo masakit talaga sa mata yung post about dogs vs. cats. We have been adopting cats in the neighborhood nung nasa probinsya pa kami. Hindi kami nasanay na mag-alaga ng dogs so kung mag-aalaga man kami dito most likely cats pa rin. And we can't impose on people din to adopt askals instead of dogs with pedigree. They have their own reasons for doing so - even if it's only to be seen. Sila naman nagmumukhang tan**a by being too obvious about it.
