Aquino remains open to term extension: I?ll listen to my ?bosses? | Inquirer News

Saan ka humuhugot ng kapal ng mukha to say there is clamor for you to stay in Malacanang beyond 2016 Mr. ABNOY? Those who tell you this things are those who will end up in jail after 2016. Why are they afraid to step down and go to jail eh magkakasama naman kayo sa kulungan. If there is anything to extend, it's your balding HAIR:rofl:

Bernas tells Aquino to retire, give Santiago a chance | Inquirer News

No other than a man of ill repute, one of the author of the Constitution and well respected in the Ateneo community (unlike ABNOY) is already telling/predicting ABNOY to rest "in jail".

“I’ll say, ‘Rest, there are other good people,’” Bernas, an Inquirer columnist, said in an interview on ANC on Tuesday.

ABNOY, you don't have the monopoly of righteousness.

Court finds evidence vs Cito Lorenzo, Joc-joc Bolante insufficient | Inquirer News

What the heck is tuwid na daan if this administration keep loosing case??? Kung walang DAP money ang mga judges, Abnoy cannot get a conviction. Si Joc-Joc lang ito they can't win, how much more with Pandak, Tanda, ***y, Pogi who has more power and mga delikalibreng abogado.

Just to close the BBM dream....

If Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is to be believed, Santiago has one rival less for the presidency.
On Wednesday, Marcos laughed off pronouncements by his mother, Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Marcos, that he would run for President in 2016.
“My mother has been saying that since I was 3 years old. Don’t be surprised that she’s continuing to say that. But then again, she’s a mother, and it’s not surprising,” Marcos said.
A group of supporters gathered outside the Senate Wednesday carrying streamers urging Marcos to run for President.
Told about it, Marcos said it was “embarrassing.”
But he thanked the group “for their support and confidence.”

    my concerns with Miriam:
    - unstable mind
    - too emotional
    - thinks she is smarter than the rest

but it may take a psychotic president to turn this country around.

Aquino says SC too meddlesome | Inquirer News

Will someone remind this stupid president that he started all this problem with the judiciary. If he did not spear head the impeachment of a former CJ, then it could have been a totally different story. Is it not that Malacanang stated they are ready for what ever the SC judgement on the DAP, eh bakit iyak pa rin ng iyak itong gagong ito to the extend of changing the consti just to get after the judiciary. Really stupid act for guy who call himself president.

No less than ABNOY's appointees voted against DAP yet this president still believe to all his political allies who's only interest is to fill up their own pockets. Abnoy, ikaw ay isang uto-uto if nobody have told you that yet.

Not suprising since Lacierda belongs to the Balay group... He'll be out of the job in 2016.

Lacierda makes another slip, calls Roxas president

    Oops, He did it again.

Palace spokesman Edwin Lacierda made another slip while being interviewed by reporters on Wednesday, calling Interior Secretary Manuel Roxas 2nd “President Mar.”

“I was there when President Mar—ay, sorry—well, Secretary Mar Roxas—when Secretary Mar Roxas said it,” Lacierda told reporters.

He was responding to a query on whether President Benigno Aquino 3rd has ordered the Liberal Party to push for the passage of the anti-dynasty bill.

“Siya [Roxas] ang nagsabi sa forum doon sa KOMPRE [Koalisyon ng Mamamayan para sa Reporma]. May consultation with the chairman of the Liberal Party,” Lacierda said.

Aquino is the chairman of the ruling LP.

“Well, he [Aquino] lets Secretary Mar Roxas discuss it with the LP leaders. Hindi ko alam kung ano ‘yung proseso sa loob,” Lacierda added.

Lacierda also made a slip of the tongue in an earlier interview where he stirred up speculations on a no-election (No-El) scenario in 2016.

But he was quick to retract, saying Aquino “has neither decided on term extension or endorsing a candidate. In both instances, 2016 elections will push through.”

The Office of the Presidential Spokesman also issued a statement saying that the President has neither decided on term extension nor endorsed a candidate.

“It should be noted that the 2016 elections will push through, and that the administration will always follow the processes set by the Constitution. We regret the confusion that the statement may have caused,” the statement said.

And * the rate it is going, they're pretty sure na laglag na si nognog bago 2016.

Binay daughter blames China for Makati Bldg price | ABS-CBN News

Binay daughter blames China for Makati Bldg price

MANILA - What does China have to do with the alleged overpricing of the P2.2 billion Makati City Hall Building 2 project?

According to Makati Congresswoman Abigail Binay, the high price of construction for the building was brought on by an increase in steel prices due to a construction boom in China in time for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

"You also have to remember the time it was built. Yun yung time na there was so much high demand on steel because China was buying all the steel because they were building for the Beijing Olympics," she told ANC's Headstart.

The Binays have come under fire over the building projects, which critics said could have been the source of massive kickbacks.

Vice-President Jejomar Binay, Makati Mayor Junjun Binay and other Makati officials are facing a plunder complaint over the alleged overpricing of the P2.2 billion building.

Former Makati Vice-Mayor Ernesto Mercado earlier revealed that he pocketed kickbacks during Phases 1 and 2 of the construction of the building, and said the current vice-president also got kickbacks when he was still mayor of Makati.

For her part, the Makati congresswoman said comparing the price of construction of Makati City Hall building 2 to other luxury condominiums is not an "apples-to-apples" comparison.

She noted that the building project underwent 10 COA audits per phase including contract reviews and technical review.

"Yung technical audit ay galing sa central office...Hindi yan galing sa resident COA," she said.

She added: "I think you have to give credit naman dun sa ating mga COA auditors that they did their job."

In the interview, Binay admitted that the issue with the alleged overpricing is the only thing that is bothering her other than being "unfriended" on Facebook by Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano.

"Other nang na-unfriend ako, yun na lang," she told Headstart host Karen Davila.

MANILA, Philippines – How would one describe world-class?

Senator Nancy Binay on Monday found a way of dealing with criticisms that the pricey Makati City Hall 2 that her father Jejomar built does not merit to be called world-class.

“Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder,” Nancy Binay said.

It was Nancy’s brother, Makati City Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay, who described the building “world-class” during last week’s hearing at the Senate amid allegations that it was grossly overpriced.

“Siguro that’s their opinion, ‘di ba? ‘Di ba, parang beauty din yan eh… It’s in the eyes of the beholder,” the senator said in jest in an interview on Monday.

“Siguro ganoon din yun sa building, ‘di ba? Para sa kanila, hindi ganoon kagandahan pero sa amin maganda na yan. Lalo na kapag nakapag-ikot ka buong sa Pilipinas. I don’t think may makikita kayong ibang LGU building na ganoon ang itsura,” she said.

The Senate blue ribbon committee investigating the issue conducted an ocular inspection of the building early Monday morning.

The committee is set to resume its hearing on Thursday.
